Great stand in for $2000 gearbox
At work we had purchased a new piece of equipment. After several weeks, the gearbox failed, and it was going to take several weeks to get one from supplierSomeone came up with the idea to try a go-kart brake. And it has worked perfectly !!More than happy with this purchase and a lot less money and down time !

Looks like it's working great the fit was was good.
Seams to be great, but had to use my own set screws. Stock is to long hit the pad mount.

Using this for an electric go kart
Building an electric go kart for my daughter - this gives me half the brake system in one package. Now just need to figure out the pedal.

Rotor came warped:(
The media could not be loaded. Brake works completely fine it’s just the rotor is warped it’s not going to wear correctly. Plus stops the axle when it catches on the high spot even after adjusting.

I'm using this as an upgrade. My Manco go kart, virtually identical to the yerf dog, has a drum brake that's less effective than I like. This kit comes with calipers and pads, mounting bracket, and the disc, which is all I need to complete the job. The components look pretty rugged, and should hold up well. I might have to change the brake cable out as well. I'm looking forward to getting this installed for much more effective braking power.
