Raclette Comparison... Swiss & French
This is a dual review of sorts... we purchased both this Swiss cheese (Swiss Raclette Quarter Wheel (Approximately 2.5-3 lbs)) sold by Gourmet-Food and the French cheese (igourmet French Raclette - 2 lb Cut (2 pound)) sold by iGourmet."Swiss Quarter Wheel" was 2.43lbs"French 2lb Cut" was 2.1lbsBoth cheeses tasted superb in our opinion with the Swiss having a more earthy or nutty tone to it making it more similar to the Swiss Gruyere. The French cheese was creamier than the Swiss and was preferred by the kids more; this also seemed to melt faster than the Swiss one in our Raclette machine (Swissmar KF-77043 Classic 8-Person Raclette Party Grill with Reversible Cast Aluminum Non-Stick Grill Plate/Crepe Top Red Enamel).A note on the packaging... both came well packaged with cool packs. Orders were placed at the same time and delivered 2 days later within an hour of each other by different carriers.All-in-all, we'll be buying both again from either seller.

EXCELLENT, incomparable Swiss raclette.
I am a huge fan me this company, as ALL of their cheeses are excellent. I was having a raclette party, so I ordered this nice slice of cheese at an amazing price, and it was so delectable and succulent that I ended up eating more of it than a party could handle! Oops! :D Also, disregard Amazon's estimated date of delivery--the seller always gets it to you as fast as possible--I'm talking 2-3 days AT MOST. What's more to love?! A+++++--cheese-head

Wonderful Snacking and melting Cheese
Made a simple delicious supper with this cheese. Parboiled small potatoes, cooked some hard Spanish chorizo, sautéed a shallot and a few mushrooms. Put everything in a small pan, topped with lots of the cheese and baked till melted. Served with a green salad. My husband loved it.

Disgusting. Bland then really bitter.
The company was very nice but this cheese has zero flavor until the last second then it is really bitter. Being swiss and growing up in Switzerland I have had my fair share of raclette. There was so little flavor that the entire dinner group stopped eating and we went out to eat after because it was that gross. If you've ever had Raclette you know how stinky it is. It stinks up your house for the rest of the day so smelling it was a smack in the face because you know you were ripped off by 70 dollars. The post office made a mistake and rerouted the cheese multiple times so it took 7 days to get here. It arrived warm and you could smell the cheese through the vacuum seal. Maybe something happened in transit that made it taste so bad but I cannot recommend this product due to the lack of flavor.

Fun evening
Cheese was delicious and provided a fun evening with grandkids. We do have a community mailbox and I didn’t see the email notification that the cheese had arrived. You would think the PO would leave at door a package marked refrig immediately. But cold pks in package were still cold when we got next day. So it turned out fine.

Delicious
My wife is from Switzerland and when there we have raclette dinner. Melt this and pour on baby potatoes, what a great meal.

It came well packaged and on time as promised. The tastee is wonderful.
We all loved the flavor of the cheese and it was easy to cut and prepaire into portions for the Raclette. I have ordered every year and every time it is to satisfaction. We love getting together for a Raclette dinner with relatives and friends.
