Great quality, gorgeous color!

I am happily pleased with this on arrival. Solid red oak case with Spanish cedar lining. The lid closes snugly, and the hinges operate smoothly. Mine came already at ideal humidity. The internal sponge is much better quality than a typical floral sponge, and is held in by rare earth magnet for easy removal. For the price my expectations were not as high as the quality of the build of this humidor.

My wife bought this for me as a Christmas present. No instructions with it about seasoning, so I went online and got info. I tried everything up to and including a Boveda seasoning packet. I did not expect the hygrometer to be accurate, so I used an electronic one I had. This box is terrible. It will not hold any more humidity than if cigars are left lying out on a table. My big mistake was taking so much time to try to make it usable that I ran past the cut off date for a return/refund. I really wanted it to work so my wife would not feel foolish for buying it. The box looks nice, but that is not enough to justify the expense.

I really like the build quality and design of this humidor. It's got nice hardware and an analogue hygrometer that I found isn't entirely accurate (very common) to a digital hygrometer. It reads about 10% lower RH than the digital hygrometer I've placed inside. Inititally, after several months I had issues keeping humidity at appropriate levels; despite seasoning it several times over the course of weeks, use of Boveda packs, and additional water beyond the included humidifier. The RH seemed to always fall no matter how much I rehydrated. I found that the seal is pretty good, but not perfect, and that was causing my loss of humidity. Simply placing a weighted item on the humidor keeps it sealed better.I think if you keep on top of it and gradually introduce cigars (especially if they're unusually dry) it may be able to keep better relative humidity. It's a great looking, low-price desk humidor but don't confuse it for a perfect high-end humidor. You'll want to have something 1-2lb (small book, stapler, etc.) placed on top to keep it sealed. Keep an eye on the hydration system and replenish as needed.Otherwise it's a solid humidor for the price.

it was a gift and my BF loved it however no instructions and much to my surprise BF had to take to cigar shop to treat box and get humidity packs, all that took a 3 week process bf putting cigars in box.I did not know all that. wish there were instructions and a beginners pack.

Poorly constructed, does not seal well. Hydrometer is not very accurate and regardless of how well seasoned will not hold humidity. Complete waste of money.
