1791's lady Women's Victorian Rococo Dress Inspiration Maiden Costume

I am very impressed with the quality of this dress for the price. I could not make this dress for the price. It is very well made dress- tons of material and it is lined. The seams are well sewn, the lace is good quality, although the sleeve lace is rough edged but you hardly notice. I am 5'6" and the dress is long enough to fully cover a 6 hooped under slip and still touch the ground . The dress is slightly large. I had to return it for a smaller size. I did order a second dress for my daughter who regularly attends Victorian dances.

The dress sizing seems accurate and I loved the material of the sleeves and the back of the dress. The pattern is lovely. The front of the dress was a little shinier than I thought it would be but overall a nice costume for the price.

I was nervous about investing in this for a Marie Antoinette Halloween costume but it worked out great! I am normally a 16W. The XXL was a little big (and I couldn't find a ribbon to tighten as others have said) but I used pins and made it work. I had an 8 hoop petticoat underneath. I hope to find other uses for the dress in the future and get it altered. Worth the money!

I was recently Marie Antoinette for a work function. The costume looked great, but no sooner did I make my "appearance", than the zipper gave out on the side of the dress. I had noticed that it was "tough" to get the zipper up and down when I was dressing, but the zipper completely opened up after it was zipped. I had to remove my wig and my dress to fix the problem, but then I couldn't get the zipper to budge from the "open" position. Thank goodness a co-worker saved the day with safety pins. I have plans to utilize this dress in the future, but will have to completely replace the zipper before doing so.

Great costume. Very well made out of good materials. A tad small and very long. Had to hem it. Great buy for the money. Good tons of compliments at a historic expo!!

Very well made. Great quality costume, and very affordable, too. I considered having a similar dress made, and the fabric alone was far more expensive than this dress, made and delivered.
