I had owned a much earlier version of this product as a basis of comparison.A few key points:You get two sets of earbuds: one set with a thin film membrane installed to block water seeping into the phone canal. I did not have this with the 200 series version. The manual tells you that you MUST install these before taking it into a pool for swimming. The issue with this is that the film kills SQ; particularly the treble, so you are left with a net music experience of a $5 disposable earbuds.Once you switch out the normal plugs—the manual recommends one size smaller than your swimming plug size—you will be rewarded with the expected SQ of a SONY.....well, anything. You will also gain Bluetooth headphone pairing capability via mobile phone, Apple Watch or anything supporting 4.0 protocols. Oh yeah, and you can also use the handy remote, which also does not work under water. Not sure why I had even assumed it would but of course it won’t.As you can tell I’m not very happy with the purchase and seriously leaning towards returning it. For $200 the product seems to under deliver, which is not something I had used in describing any SONY product in a long time. As an owner of a WF-1000XM3 wireless earphones from SONY prices in $229 range in the US this is simply ridiculous. I will test it some more to see if the sound can be improved upon under water—which is what I assume most people would consider using it for instead of just gym use where there are better alternatives for less, it is simply unfathomable that the design relies upon blocking the ear canal along with the qualities of the sound that make it desirable to invest in this rig in the first place.If you intend to listen to spoken word or podcasts while you are swimming, I’d suppose it would work. But music of any kind is not enjoyable with the use of the swimming plugs. If you risk going in without them—SONY goes into great length to explain the dangers of exposing the device to water—for a headphone device designed to be waterproof. The need for proper seal—goes without saying for any IEMs primarily to ensure proper bass delivery—but this design goes far beyond in defeating the primary purpose it supposed to deliver: good quality music while swimming in the pool. By “good” I meant no reference quality audiophile grade reproduction, but significantly better than AM radio broadcast quality. That is what this model delivers when equipped with swimming earplugs with film membrane aperture vs unobstructed silicon plugs for over land use.

This product was way better than I expected. I was worried as I have not yet found a pair of in-ear headphones that have worked for me but the smallest size works perfectly for me - so was delighted.It is comfortable to the extent that you're not even aware you're wearing it.The ambient noise feature works amazingly well - except in windy conditions. If the wind is blowing then that's all you hear and it's hardly worth listening to the music using this feature. If you turn it off however then you still hear your music perfectly - but then of course you have to be more vigilant as you're not as aware of cars etc while running.A little finicky with the buttons on the ear pieces. This makes the finger remote control an amazing added feature, although I do find after a while of running the finger remote gets a little uncomfortable.I haven't yet had a swim with it.Overall - a really fantastic product.The only thing missing is an option to select specific playlists or choose what you want to listen to. You can either play all music or select file shuffle. I don't know how to enhance this as there's no GUI and you certainly don't want to bulk up the item anymore - it's nice that it's so small and lightweight.

Broke after 30 days of every day swimming! Customer Service no where to be found! Do not buy this garbage! I bought the H2O Audio Stream 2 for $89 bucks! Sounds pretty close to these Sonys!

I have had the previous generation the model nwz-ws615 and definitely this new model is superior. It is super confortable and fits perfect, but the most surprising for me was the improve of the audio quality. My daily headphones are the shure se215 and I was surprised when I found that the audio quality in the Sony headphones was superior. The only thing that I didn't like it was that the music center app from Sony doesn't support this headphones. I am convinced that in future updates this is going to change, but I would had like it that the app works since the first day.Update review. After one year, the headphones still working amazing, the wireless control is amazing. The only thing that I have to complain is about that this device don't have an app to costumize the sound. All Sony Bluetooth headphones devices can be customized by a Sony app except this headphones.

These sport earphones are the best offer since the first Walkman was introduced. The transfer of music to these earphones is made super simple with Medicago. I hope Sony will never let this software go like the Sony music store did.The durability, rich sound, deep base and Bluetooth adaptability is superb.If you swim, run, ride a bike or just walk these are the only earbuds or phones you need and did I mention that you can answer your phone on the go with these.These are simply the best.

The headphones should come with a case so they can be carried comfortably in a backpack when not in use

ウォークマンとしての音はそこまで期待しないほうがいいです、A30、A40シリーズ以上のモデルがそれは任せてこれはトレーニング用と割りきればいい商品と思うと思います、水泳、ランニングどっちでも使用し問題なく、そして楽しくトレーニングすることが出来ますね時間経つのが早い早い音もそんなに悪いという訳では無いですよ

自分の勉強不足をとても反省していますが、天下のソニーが「スポーツタイプのウォークマン」というコピーとともにこの商品を販売したら、誰もが信じてしまいます・・・。カセットテープのウォークマンが世の中にリリースされた時、青春真っただ中だった私は、音楽と供に巷を歩ける幸せを感じました。それから、40年ほど過ぎて、ランニングの趣味と供に生きている私には、40年前の感激を期待してこの購入しましたが、「ダマサレタ！」という一言で表現するほど、落胆してしまいました。ランニングの際に装着すると、着地する度に、「ブン、ブン、ブン、ブン」と響くのです。ネットで調べたら、カナル型は振動を顕著に拾うため、運動に「不適」という記述に出会いました。このような状況だったので、手元に届いて数日で売却しょうか、オークションに出そうかと迷いましたが、ネットでイロイロと調べてみると、ウレタンのイヤーピースに換装するのが効果的との情報を得ましたので、失敗してもいいように百均でウレタンのイヤーピースを購入して試着してみました。あらら・・・、大幅な改善を体験することができたのです。「ブン、ブン、ブン、ブン」という響きが全く無くなるわけではないのですが、激減したのです。こんなことって、天下のソニーさんだったら、「承知していたこと」ではないのかと思ってしまいました。「スポーツタイプ」と看板を掲げるのであれば、最低でもウレタンのイヤーピースを同梱すべきだと思います。改めて書きますが、自分の勉強不足だとは思いますが、真摯な販売展開をして欲しいと切に願うばかりです。

半年ほど使用していますが、格安中華製のような故障等はなく問題ないです。音質も良いのかどうか私にはわかりませんがふつうです。ただ充電時は専用のソケットが必用になるので嵩張り、頻繁に長時間使用する人だと煩わしいです。充電持続時間も3時間はかなりきついです。図書館での勉強時や長時間のサイクリングでは充電なくなります。短時間のトレーニングや通勤時向けだと思いました。

自分はトレーニングジムで使用するために購入したのですが、一日に２時間程度の『とりあえず自分の好みの音が鳴っていればいい』という人にはオススメ出来ます。初めのうちは、容量の許す限り好みの音楽をいれて使用していたのですが、１６ギガもあると聴きたい曲に辿り着けなくなります。今は厳選してアルバム数枚分しか入れず、スキップで数回飛ばせば聴きたいアルバムには簡単にたどり着けるのですが、それだと１６ギガも要らないから容量少ない方が安くて良かったかもと、少し後悔しました。自分は頭大きめの方で必然的に耳にも締め付ける力が強めにかかり、使用し初めの頃は耳の奥が痛くなりました。慣れるまで結構掛かりましたが３週間ほど経ったあたりでトレーニング最中に着用を意識しなくなっていることに気がつきました。ランニング時はガサゴソと擦れる音がして不快ですが、それ以外でトレーニングに支障をきたすことは無かったです。音はそれなりです。じっくりリスニングするようなコンセプトの商品ではないので、音域、音質にこだわる方は別のものを購入された方がいいです。

同じＷシリーズの前機種が不調となったため購入しました。主にウォーキング・ジョギングのときに使っていて、これのおかげで退屈しません。私はたくさんのアルバムを入れてシャッフル再生したかったので、容量を大きいものにしました。次に何が再生されるか分からないのは欠点でありながら、期待させるという点で長所でもあると思います。運動しながら１曲をまるごと聞くのでリモコンは使っていないので、コメントができません。シャッフル再生：何らかの法則性をもってシャッフルしていると思いますが、同じ曲が再生されやすいような気がします。外音取り込み：私の場合は、あまり人の来ない田舎の運動公園で使うので、静かな環境のためほとんど使っていません。ただ、取り込み機能を使うと電池の減りが早いと思います。また、機能がオンなのかオフなのか分からない点がマイナスポイントです。電源のように音声案内してくれないと、静かな環境下ではオンオフの状態がわかりません。音質：私は音質にこだわらないので十分だと思います。操作性：素手で操作するには問題ありません。さすがに手袋では難しいです。前機種は電源のロックボタンがありましたが廃止されてしまい残念です。充電：前機種より充電器がよくなっていると思います。前機種は細い針金状のものが接点に接触するようになっていて、あまり接触がよくありませんでした。また、小型になって専用ケースに入りやすくなりました。Bluetooth：使っていないのでよくわかりません。すみません。使用感：ウォーキング・ジョギングでは耳から外れることもなく、イヤホンコードのような邪魔なものもないので、運動しながら快適に使えます。購入して半年以上過ぎていますが、問題なく使えています。運動しながらお気に入りの音楽を楽しみたい方にはお勧めします。専用ケースも同時に購入するとさらによいと思います。前機種のレビューで、バッグにはだかのまま入れて持ち歩いていたらイヤホン部が折れたとの書き込みを見た記憶があります。少しかさばりますが安心できます。
