Midori 15235006 Memo MD Paper Pad, A5, Unruled

Excellent paper for fountain pens! No bleed thru and very little ghosting.

This is fantastic notepaper. I will definitely reorder!

I've used a fair number of fountain pen-friendly papers over the years, with many pens and many inks. This stuff has a permanent spot in my lineup. I love having a slightly off-white option. The cream base color of this paper makes some inks really pop out and look extra classy (blues in particular, like Diamine Blue Velvet and Waterman Serenity Blue). Despite having a hair more tooth to it than something like Rhodia or Clairefontaine Triomphe, it shows off sheen better than either of them. And I personally love the two-side glue joint on the block that helps keep corners from curling. Fantastic paper.

As a recovering stationary addict, this is my one indulgence. I love how these note pads look and feel. I take all my notes on these.

Try pairing this with a 4B for writing (who uses a 4B for writing they say); Moderately Dark lines without any much pressure needed. But then again you could do that on Fabriano paper too but then again you’d have a problem glaring into the shiny lead…so there’s where that creamy Midori paper feature comes in to the rescue. The paper has got moderate graphite though (that’s a deciding factor ) If you’re a serious writer, mathematician etc who spends most of his or her time writing and / or traveling, you’d find this fascinatingly and compelling-ly comfortable to write on. Get what you see. What’s primised—from the one of the world’s best engineers and cultured people..

MD is hands down my favourite paper for fountain pen writing. No feathering or bleed through, even when writing with broad nibs I use both sides of the paper. I also love the colour. Tearing a sheet off the gummed pad is oddly joyful. I also like the cut off corner, it’s one of these genius little inventions you never realised you needed until you experience them.

Ich kann nichts schlechtes über die Qualität sagen. Als Linkshänder gefällt es mir auch gut, dass zwei Seiten verklebt sind, anstatt einer Ringbindung oder ähnlichem. Allerdings ist der Preis viel zu hoch. Es wird also ein einmaliges Experiment bleiben. Von Clairfontaine gibt es die gleiche Qualität zum halben Preis.

せっかくの向きや綴じ方をフリーに使えるペーパーなんだから、端の斜めカット不要。 これがなかったら100点。 紙質は言うまでもなく安心安定のMDペーパーですよ。

デーブルに常に置いておいてメモをとるのに便利です。 そして何より書きやすい!滑らか! 紙の手触りの良さに癒やされる。さっと切り離し易いのも良いです。
