Rare Beauty Liquid Highlighter - Face and Body - Glow Drops for All Skin Tones

Really lovely for contouring and shimmery. Slightly darker then I expected but still like it a lot

This isn’t made clear in the advert what it actually is. This isn’t a highlighter at all! It’s a bronze shimmer for tanned or dark skin. It’s way too dark for fair skinned people like me. It would be ideal to use on holiday over a tan when you didn’t want to wear makeup or to enhance a tan on your body for an evening out. Although I put a lot on my hand in my video I only put a little on my finger to apply and used a different finger to blend and it was still too dark for me. I used what I had on my cheek and eye and spread it all over my face and it looked so false because I haven’t got a tan and I’m fair skinned. I took photos of my face in the shade and in the sun to show you. I also had bronze blusher and foundation on before I applied it which didn’t help blend it at all. A highlighter to me is a light shimmer and not a dark shimmer. If you have the right colour complexion or tanned then it would be great but don’t buy this if you’re looking for a highlighter…I hope my photos help ☺️

Can't understand how this won any awards, to be honest. It's difficult to 'smooth' over skin, leaving behind an obvious 'dark brown' mark. Not at all what I was hoping for..😒

I like Eclat as a company and have used a few of their products with success. I am into make up and got this highlighter to try as a bronzer and collarbone highlighter. It is darker than I was expecting so certainly looks better on darker skin. I've still got a tan so it looks amazing on my cheeks and collarbone area. It has got a mild, pleasant, natural scent. It adds a beautiful glow and slight tint. The other positive is that it's amazing value for money. You get a large highlighter tube (50ml) for under 8 pounds. I recommend this product!

I’ve purchased things from this brand Eclact before and found it to good, however this makeup is misleading to what it actually is, I presumed it was a liquid highlighter but when I tried it I found it a dark colour like a cream bronzer it’s definitely not a cream highlighter, I’m light skinned and this was way to dark for me, my daughter has darker skin so I gave it to her and she’s used it this summer as a bronzing shimmer and it suited her complexion better, the colour worked out good for her, however it’s misleading in the description what this product actually is.

Not as described more of a tan colour not rosy or pink atall

I'm quite impressed with this product. Usually, I tend to stick with powder based highlighters as I mainly use them for cheekbones or accentuating the angles of my face, but I was curious to see how liquid highlighter might work for me, so I thought I'd give this a try. Firstly, the shade took me by surprise. I wasn't expecting it to be quite so deep. It's a lovely bronze colour that once blended into the skin, takes on a gold/bronze hue that compliments many skin tones from light to dark. I would say it's more suitable for warmer or neutral skin tones than cooler tones, but that's just my personal opinion (I'm a cool tone and I find anything with too much warmth or gold in it does me no favours). The only thing I don't like about this highlighter is the fact it has shiny glittery pieces/specks in it that do not go away no matter how much you blend. For me, this means it's definitely more of a 'special occasion' product rather than an everyday one, but again, that's just my preference. You do not need much of this product at all - the tiniest bit goes a LONG way as you can see from the video provided, so it really will last a long time, and so far as the price goes, at £7.99, it's an absolute bargain. It's also not drying, as can be the case with powder based highlighters. I wouldn't say it hydrates my skin, but it certainly doesn't dry it out, which is great. It's also Vegan, which I always prefer when it comes to cosmetics (the packaging is 100% recyclable too and it also comes fully sealed). I've now used this highlighter underneath my make up, which gave a soft glow, and just as a topical highlighter to accentuate my cheekbones and other parts of my face. Both times, the results have been lovely and long lasting. I also tried it on it's own without any other make up and it gave my skin a nice subtle glow (I barely used any at all, it spreads SO far across the skin). Personally, I plan to look into this brand further to see what else they have available, as I feel their products are reasonably priced, ethically made and work well in my experience. 5 stars.
