Let me start out by saying I've been a Docs wearer since the mid '90's, and still wear a pair I've had since '96/'97. I really like these boots. This is the third pair of Docs I've ordered on Amazon this month, and the only pair I've kept. I have to start out by saying that this was also the only pair that came in the original Dr. Martens boot box, that is a huge plus for me. These boots are almost perfect, right out of the box, I don't anticipate a whole lot of break-in time, though I'll need to soften the tongue, as its a bit stiff. The foot bed is really comfortable, lots of bounce. The platform sole is really awesome. It gives you a really big lift, without the heel being uncomfortably high. I also like these better than the Jadon's, because they have better flexibility, and don't make you look like Frankenstein stomping around. The shape of the toe box is more feminine than the standard Docs shoebox, as it's a bit less wide across the bridge of the foot. This is an upside to those of us tall girls with woman's size US 11 feet, but a downside to anyone with wider feet. These boots fit true to size, with slight extra wiggle room in the toes, without causing extra slide in the heel, though I do wear my boots laced tight. The boot laces that came with the boots are a joke. They are more like dental floss and very insubstantial, so plan ahead to put new laces on. I used golden yellow paracord, as it matches the stitching and looks striking on these beautiful boots. Plus, paracord just makes the best boot laces.

They are my absolute favourite docs I have ever worn. Not to bulky but still give you the chunky sole.

Diese Schuhe machen einen äußerst robusten Eindruck (genäht statt geklebt, nicht wie modische Fakes, die man mittlerweile an jeder Ecke bekommt) und fallen eher groß aus. Ich hoffe, dass die Lebensdauer entsprechen länger ist und der relativ hohe Preis sich amortisiert , denn die Absätze machen ebenfalls nicht den Eindruck, als dass sie irgendwann abbröckeln werden. Normalerweise rechnet man bei DM damit, dass es lange dauert und vieler Blasenpflaster bedarf, bis sie eingelaufen sind, aber die guten Bewertungen haben mich optimistisch gestimmt, dass dieses Modell die Ausnahme bildet. Und tatsächlich hatte ich bislang keine Probleme, obwohl ich täglich viele Treppenstufen steige und auch den Hund ausführen kann, ohne auf Wanderschuhe umsteigen zu müssen.

Perfect boots. Beautiful style and quality. I’ve worn it twice so far, and it was so comfortable i dont want to take it off. Im usually a size 7, but after reading some of the reviews i decided to size down. I ordered size 6. It was a little tight when i first tried it on with thick socks, so now i wear it with normal socks and it fits perfectly and comfortably. If you are planning to wear it with thick socks, i would suggest to order your usual size.

If you're a true size 7, order a size 6. I wear converse and vans in a ladies US size 7 for reference. I had to return the 7 because they were huge. Size 6 fits perfect. So happy I decided to exchange. Comfy and so stylish. Very happy with my purchase
