Legit!
These candies are LEGIT made in Japan! Reminds me old-fashioned candies that I used to eat. I can tell they use high quality ingredients. The candies arrive beautifully, and they are totally giftable. It's fairly expensive but you won't regret getting these candies as rare to find the legit old-fashioned Japanese candies.

These Candies are Unique and Fun to Eat
These Candies are so beautifully wrapped in a nice box and actually wrapped up in wrapping paper that is really neat looking. Then when you open the box these cans look so festive and comes with directions on how to open the cans with a penny! The fun way to open the cans really got my kids excited. These would make a great gift for anyone interested in eating Japanese treats/snacks. They are all unique in flavor and we all 5 had mixed reviews on the three flavors, but atleast 1 person liked all the different ones. I liked them all, but matcha wasn't my favorite. My husband loves the matcha one so like I said, mixed reactions.I think this unique candy is a real winner and everyone should try them at least once, because it's surprising how good and tasty these are. The interesting cans and packaging make these extremely giftable, especially because they come already wrapped.

More Interesting than Good?
I got this candy set for my kids as a stocking stuffer and it's...interesting. I think the presentation is actually better than the candy. The box comes wrapped in lovely Japanese-styled wrapping paper and it looks awesome. The tins are similarly cool, with bright colors and a retro style. The candies look awesome too, with rich colors and a unique triangular shape. The candies taste okay, with a flavor that's heavy on the brown sugar across the board. All are very sweet and they're pleasant. It may just be that the flavors are foreign to me, but I can't really distinguish the taste and though the brown ones taste different from the other two they're not all that far apart. For the price, these offer more cultural value that taste value to me. Not bad but not special, but they and the packaging are quite appealing.

I love the brand, but not all of the flavors in here are to my liking.
I tried another set of candy from the same brand, and those were more fruity flavored candies than these are. These are more exotic flavors for sure, and while I like them, they're not something I would go to normally for a "candy" flavor. Honestly I think the best one in this collection is the Brown Sugar tin. They're a very sweet candy flavor, and I wish more brands would make this flavor of candy after having tried it. It's a great flavor to have right after a meal when you're trying to cleanse your taste buds of any sort of savory type of food you might have just eaten. I'm not a big fan of the other flavors in this collection, but I'm sure some people will love them, so it's still a recommended set of candy!

Beautiful Taste Adventure
These are really fantastic Japanese candies. The taste isn't something I would have created but that's part of the appeal of trying candies from all over the world.I really appreciate the care that is taken in the packaging. They are everything you would expect in that they are clearly packed with care and with attention to detail. These aren't something I'll keep in the cupboard for snacking but as a one time buy or a gift they are really great.Overall very happy with the "[ Eitaro Sohonpo ] Eitaro Candy 3 Cans(UMEBOSHI AME, OKINAWA BROWN SUGAR, MATCHA),Japanese Candy, Wagashi, Handmade, No Additive, Made in Japan".

This Candy Tastes Amazing!
This candy tastes amazing! These candies are alive with flavor, each type has a unique taste and they're crafted to perfection. There are three types; Umeboshi Ame, Okinawa brown sugar and Matcha. I didn't know what Umeboshi candy was, so I looked it up. It uses pickled plum seeds, which is cool because it has such a nice, one of a kind flavor that I haven't found in American candy. The Okinawa brown sugar also tastes great; this type is made from brown sugar and cinnamon. And the Matcha candy is matcha green tea (I'm already huge a fan of Matcha tea), which tastes fantastic. My favorite of the three is the Umeboshi Ame, but the Matcha and Okinawa brown sugar are also a close tie. The presentation was lovely as well. I'm definitely going to be ordering more of these as gifts for my family for the holidays.

Gorgeous gift
This would be an amazing item to keep on hand during the holidays to give as a gift to people who drop in. It came beautifully wrapped in a presentation box.I had a bit of trouble getting these tins open, they suggest using a coin, but I didn't have any coins in my house - a knife works in a pinch. The candies themselves are unique and not too sweet (I know that sounds crazy since these are hard candies, whose main ingredient is sugar). They have a nice mouthfeel and last a surprisingly long time for such small pieces. These would make an exceptional gift for anyone who loves all things Japanese
