The Legend of the Ghost Buck (Hometown Hunters)

Wonderful for youth. Good stories. Good values. Good morals, and encouraging the young in sports, physical activities and outdoor hunting and fishing, and ”reading” instead of electronic devices and gaming.

We loved this book so much. A middle schooler who loves to hunt and has a grandpa who pours into him? Winning combo. We love the anticipation of learning what was coming next in the chase for the coveted Ghost Buck!

My 9 year old son LOVED this book and all of the Lane Walker books he’s read so far. He’s actually asked to NOT buy book fair books at school and get these instead. Huge win!

I liked that it was rich and engaging. I would recommend this book for anyone who likes hunting. I chose this rating because I truly loved the book.

My 8 year old grandson loves this book, keeps him interested in reading as he nurtures his love of hunting. Great to keep him reading during the summer.

Our friend’s son loves to hunt. We wanted to give him something other than a toy for his birthday. These are nice chapter books that he loves and has asked for more.

I preread this book before giving it to my grandson, who is getting interested in hunting.I wasn't expecting much, but I was pleasantly surprised. There's a multi-level story being told about a first hunt, friendships...I don't want to give too much away. No more spoilers.In closing, I'm looking forward to talking with my grandson about the book, once he reads it.PS: If I had granddaughter (maybe someday) I'd give this book to her too.
