Very way to install. Metric wrenches to aid install included. Locking mechanism works in both rolling and rotation directions. Fit and finish very good. Materials appear to be good quality. The value is such that I am placing an order for two more sets today.

Update 10-30-2925. I just ordered 2 more sets for more wire shelves. I needed 6 so I had to order 2 sets of four. Unfortunately on of the hewwls was damaged and wouldnt swivel. I quickly fixed it by prying the bent part back out with a screwdriver. I still give these 5 stars for price and fit. I can overlook quality on this one wheel as I worked in manufacturing and realize one will slip past the inspectors. I guess I could have sent it back, but I needed the 6 out of 8 wheels so this one ended up being an extra. I had some light duty wire shelves that came with junk wheels. These wheels are great. Very easy to lock and release the brakes. These are probably overkill for this smaller unit... but, like they say "go big or go home". These roll smoothly on my rough concrete floor in my garage. There are several sizes of threaded stem, so know the size you'll need. Highly recommend

Quality and Durability

This is the second order I have done for these casters. The first order I did was for a bunch of bench type fools, that I could mount to individual stands that could roll away to a storage area when not in use. They worked so well in that capacity that I decided to add them to multiple metal storage racks I use for shop supplies. I really like the locking mechanisms. I do find it easier to apply them by hand though rather than by foot. They pretty small to press by foot, (I have large feet) but the small footprint is what I prefer. I find a lot of times the brakes on casters keep you from getting items really close together. When applied they hold very well. I really like they come in sets of four. I can get all four for the price of two at the common large box stores. The threaded stems fits most of the metal storages racks sold by Amazon. Be sure to verify before purchase.

Worked great. Wrenches that came with them a little too thick. They get stuck/wedged when you tighten nuts.

I purchased these to use on a heavy-duty rolling cart, but they are completely useless due to a major manufacturing defect. While the listing and packaging claim these are standard American 1/2"-13 UNC, they are actually milled to 12 threads per inch (TPI). Because 1/2"-12 is a non-standard size, these will not thread into any standard 1/2" housing. I verified this using a thread gauge at the hardware store (see photo) -the stem clearly does not align with the standard 1/2"-13 coarse thread. Beyond the stem issue, the general quality control is non-existent. Even the included wrench was sized incorrectly and was too large to grip the mounting nut. If you are looking for a standard fit for your equipment, stay away from these. They are out of spec and a waste of time.

The wheels have a very firm rubber feel to them and as a result they glide smoothly over tile, hardwood and even carpeted floors. The brakes work well and engage by pressing down on the pedal above the wheels so locking them in place is easy and effective. I’ve installed them on my portable washing machine and moving the machine from room to room is easier now since the wheels initially installed on the washer were cheap plastic and only 1 inch in size.

I was very happy when I first got these. They seemed solid and functional. However, after 9 weeks of light use (200 pounds max for all 4 wheels - so no more than 50 pounds each) they fell apart. The bearings started coming out, and the wheels flopped around - see the video. Also, the brakes lever was a sharp as a knife and cut my ankle twice with just a light contact. Search elsewhere if you need these to last.
