Whitmor Split Rattique Waste Basket with Wood Handles - Gray

I bought this to fill with lots of snacks for my oldest & her fiancé. It was simply a part of their joint birthday gifts. The color was perfect, the construction was AMAZING, & it held a lot more than I planned for! (I had to order more snacks!) I was so impressed with this item that I purchased one for myself to hold odds & ends next to my bed. (It's far too nice to hold trash.) I would definitely recommend this item & I look forward to buying more from this company! A FABULOUS FIND!!

I got this 2-3 months ago after looking at lots of wastebaskets on Amazon (they have a lot!) to fit a specific need. in my family room i sit/lay on the couch propped up comfortable and mostly do internet. The two existing wastebaskets in the family room were far away from where i sit so, things like kleenex or wrappers would end up on the floor, no big tragedy but i started thinking more creatively and there is a narrow space between the arm of the couch that a lean against and one end of the loveseat, not wide enough to walk through, but you don't need to, most of the loveseat in in the open area, Why not put a small waste basket there, in that narrow space so i could just drop papers into it without having to get up or leave it laying on the floor looking messy until i would get up and clean it up and throw it in the more far away waste basket? i pictured a very small bathroom type wastebasket for the space and started looking on amazon, i wanted a neutral color, plastic would be ok, it wasn't going to show. So i started looking. It took a long time, i wanted a rectangular one. It was easier said than done in the size and color i wanted.Eventually i found some nice looking wood waste baskets. i measured the space and could see it didn't have to be a tiny waste basket. So my options were increasing. I came across wicker waste baskets or rattan in various shapes and designs, generally too big for the space i had. But then i came across this Whitmor model, really liked it. The measurements were perfect. it was narrow enough but also long in the width, and tall. i ordered it after continuing to search for more similar types.This one was the only one that is perfect for what i wanted and really a nice looking piece of 'furniture' too. i appreciate it every day because it makes my life easier every day. Because of the nature of the space i have it in, i can put trash in it without ever having to look at it, putting it over my shoulder and dropping it confidently. It goes right in. it's probably the first and only waste basket i've ever loved.

Updating my powder room decor. Came across this basket. My husband absolutely loved it as soon as we got it. I know am looking for a tank lid basket to go with it. The gray color is great!
