Canon EOS R10 Mirrorless Camera Lens Kit (Renewed)

This camera is an amazing entry level camera for aspiring photographers. I was about to get reasonably great shots with the right lenses. The battery lasts long enough for me to forget to even charge it for days. Its lightweight and compact so i feel comfortable taking it on long trips. The only fault is that its rf lenses which could be expensive. But there are still good and cheap rf lens that can be bought. its been almost 2 years and its still has no damage as well very durable.

I normally don’t do reviews but this was an exceptional buy. Paying under retail for this intermediate camera is great. The extra dials comes in handy for quick setting changes on the fly. Kit lens is eh, but anyone with a kit lens will tell you the same. This is a big upgrade from the SLR and feels more quality than the R100.

Love this camera. It's our first real camera and we got it to take better pictures of our baby. Looking back at the pictures we took with Pixel 6, it's very noticable how much better the Canon shots are. Colors and clarity are amazing. Typically use the nifty fifty lense for all portraits. We originally got the R100 but the auto focus wasn't fast and the camera was too slow on the shutter speed. The R10 seems to be notification faster in both areas.

I risked a refurbished camera to save the extra money and put it towards a lens. My mistake. There was a reason this camera must have been returned originally - it's incredibly glitchy. Sometimes it just turns off completely, midshot. Battery is fully charged but just shuts down. And then when I turn it 90 degrees for a vertical shot, the screen starts flashing and glitching and will not let me focus or take a shot. That being said, I am assuming these are issues specifically towards this one dysfuntional camera and not the model in general. When the camera worked, it took great shots. But as it doesn't reliably work, it's not worth the savings to go refurbished.

I always suspected that Canon made quality cameras so I was more than pleased when I started to play around with the different functions and modes. I have no complaints and unless you’re a professional and super technical person that has to have the latest greatest, I see no reason why you wouldn’t enjoy this camera as well. I just bought a second one for guest recording.

Some of the third party sellers are selling cameras that were not intended for sale in the US and Canon will not let you register it or honor the warranty. If you can't register with Canon you lose out on several features. The product page here needs to either clearly state that it is a EU model or only show US products to US customers. These are grey matket items. Check carefully with Amazon or the seller first. FIX THIS AMAZON Otherwise I like the product but now I have to go through the whole return process and how can I be certain I will get a US model. I don't want to buy new because I am a novice and may upgrade quickly.
