The best progressive sediment filter IMHO
We use this sediment filter before our multi-stage carbon filters, for a DIY whole home filter system. It works incredibly well, and extends a life of our carbon filters

Works Great
I have a RO system with a permeate pump on well water. I wanted to increase the output to handle an ice maker. I left the permeate pump in place and added the pump after the sediment filter, and the high pressure switch on the output side. It inlcude a solenoid as well which I disconnected sicne it was needed and was normally on. After using 1 liter of water the pump runs for about 10 minutes. I also purchased a separate low pressure switch for the inlet side so that the pump won't run if there is no water pressure. It has only been a few days and so far so good.

Great whole house filter if you start off with relatively clean water
We're on a deep water well and put this filter in a "big blue" enclosure as a whole house filter right after our iron filter and water softener. The pressure drop when new was only about 1-2PSI with two faucets on. 6 months in and the pressure drop is only around 3 PSI with two faucets on simultaneously. We did have pretty clean water to start off but wanted to take extra precautions as we got a tankless water heater.Since the second-stage filtration on this filter is 1 micron, which is quite small, I definitely recommend having a pressure gauge somewhere after the filter to keep an eye on the pressure drop so you can replace the filter as soon as it starts have a significant impact on the water pressure.
