The 4.72 is the result of a metric relationship (2.54cm = 1in). Thus 12"/2.54 = 4.72. Listing it as "inches" is incorrect.

What is the noise reduction coefficient?

They work well in my audio application.

Could these be used as a pin board with push pins?
