These heating pads retained the heat very well for me. I am using for my hand. The heat lasted for long enough time to help with my condition. I only used for heat so far. I will be trying the cooling method soon.

Yes very nice . Does not stay hot for very long but it does give out a wet heat which feels very nice and healing.

I keep one in a bag in the freezer and one is used nightly as warm compress. They're a bit small for my shoulders and don't stay against my neck unless I can wiggle myself into a position to where gravity assists. For those with chronic pain, you know how easily that's achieved. I thought I might be able to use it with the longer side going from my neck to my shoulder, but then it doesn't reach far enough towards the back. Being petite I expected it to work out, but alas, even for a small person it didn't give enough coverage. However, as an eye pillow it works magnificently! I've learned that if I wiggle my eyebrows, the ingredients within shift and fill all the gaps. I was concerned when handling it that the pokey pieces would be uncomfortable, but thus far I haven't felt them when using it as an eye pillow. When heated it gives off a slightly moist warmth, which is great for dry eyes. For two years I had woken up each day with my eyelids stuck to my eyes. Since using this as an eye pillow that has stopped. I still get dry eyes, but it's no longer occurring during slumber. I have yet to wash it. Since I wash my face before bed it just doesn't get dirty or oily. The smell is akin to a very light Play-doh aroma; however, I only notice that when it first comes out of the microwave.

This heating pad is just what I need. It is large enough to provide heat to cover my shoulders and the ‘collar’ stands up around my neck. The weight is just enough to be soothing but not so much as to discomfort. After heating in the microwave, it cools off a bit but I have found that as time goes on it also absorbs my body heat and maintains a comfortable warmth level that can last hours. It is a bit pricey but worth it for the soothing it brings to my painful shoulders and neck.

I purchased these heating pads because of an injury to my shoulders. They are more convenient than the heating pads that have to be plugged into an electrical outlet. I place them in the microwave for about 90 seconds and they retain heat for about half an hour. They are sturdy but also soft and pliable which makes them conform to the shape of my shoulders. I always place a hand towel over my sore areas that require heat because the pads are quite hot and can cause burns or redness if place directly on the sore areas. I would definitely purchase this product again.

Love the concept other than wish it draped over my shoulder and around my neck a little more and wish it somehow connected the front to get it to stay on you better. I like the filled areas being thin horizontal vs vertical so all the filler stays in the rows instead of falling to the bottom of a column; this design is much better to make sure the heat is evenly dispersed through the pad. Its very soft. It says to store it in an air tight bag. You can only spot clean it, obviously. I have trouble with both shoulders that this pad helps ease the pain.
