No I don’t believe it would but I always use the stand in my concrete driveway.

What grade of stainless steel is the grate inside the stove made of? Type 304 stainless is non magnetic and the grate on my stove is magnetic.

304 ss can become magnetic as a result of thermal treatment or work hardening as the process of forming and stamping that was used to manufacture it. .

If I want smoke( for cooking) leave too ring off and put wood higher then top holes? Thanks

I don't fully understand the question, but I can say that the biggest advantage of the Solo Stove is that it burns clean with very little smoke. If you raise the wood higher, I think it would burn cleaner yet. If you close off some of the holes it might smoke more, but a solo stove is probably not what you apparently need. Try a smoker.
