Thankfully we haven't needed to test the waterproof part of this yet, but it's there in case. The heat feels oddly distributed to me, I'm used to placing the plug ins at the bottom of the bed, but then the head area feels way too hot and my feet are still cold. So the plug in part is at the top...

works as advertised, and has a warranty. i freaking love this thing, so does my wife. of course i let her pick it out, and I got it for a late Christmas present for us both, very very happy with it so far.
