Will this work as a watch even if you don’t have a phone or you are somewhere with no phone signal?

As far as I know, of you're out of range of your phone, the band will keep updating steps etc and then when it's back in range of the phone it'll update the app after it's sync'd with it. I leave my phone at home when in the gym doing weights etc and while you can't read the sats as per the app, steps etc are counted. Hope this helps. There's a ton of stuff on the Amazfit site too.

What material is the strap made from. Getting skin irritation after wearing.

Swap over to a fabric strap as it sounds like you are allergic to the silicone or plastic they use .👍
