Fly Line

Feels very nice and seems to perform on a few practice casts! Was the advertised size The packaging spool is a trap! It splits open allowing all the line to just drop and tangle so I had to sit here and untangle the line before installing on my reel but it went smoothly beyond that very good value! Seems to have better durability than some bass pro lines I’ve had in the past.

If you're not into marketing and it's magical prestige, then this fly line will serve you well. I installed it onto three of my and my son's 5-6 wt outfits for use on our Michigan lake to catch big 'gills, bass, and pike. We've had it spooled for a month now and have yet to notice any degradation of floating. The double-weld loops simplify installation (nail knots are never fun). For newbies, each end of the line is labeled with a sticker, BUT also each end is ETCHED! That is a high class feature! There may or may not remain an argument for a big name fly line but only for a salt-water flats GUIDE whose income relies on very high and exacting standards... Yet I've not noticed ANY compromise thus far. I just ordered another for my 10wt pike/salmon outfit.

The line is a good value for the money. Works fine on my 6 weight rod. Came out of the box on a spool but was tangled up from the start. Count on spending about a half an hour untangling it out of the box.

Outperforms my old line. I can cast further and more accurately than before.

Nice welded loops. I can't immediately tell any difference in this line and a 120 dollar line. The color is much nicer than my Rio Gold line. We shall see, but for 15 bucks, Im not sure that a fellow ought to complain about much. Besides, on a reel that I rarely use, it should last for years. It casts fine. It feels just fine. I'm happy.

I put 5 stars so this review wouldn't get buried. If your favorite thing in the whole wide world is untangling stuff, this is THE line to buy. I'm actually impressed by how tangled it is, the "spool" is 2 piece, at no point was the line wound around it, it's a jumble, mashed around it then the other side put on with a couple twist ties to tame it enough to stuff in a box. I thought I had seen some tangles in my years but this birdsnest of horror wears the crown. The line is fine, loops are solid, color is accurate....but the mess you have to undo to make it usable....I'd charge someone 200 bucks if they asked me to do this for them. It's that bad.

Work great but I’ve had got two times and both times they came in a huge knot and I’ve had to cut it and connect it with a surgeons knot. Taken an hour both times to get it figured out

I try to use this brand every chance i get, least amount of line problems.
