Do you want to build a harmonious family? Every parent, grandparent must read this book!
I wish I had this book when we had our first daughter! I was then a typical young father more focusing on work than building the relationship with the precious little one. When I realized it much later in life, my daughter lovingly said, "Dad, it's ok, a little too late!".Daaji's book narrates in simple, lucid terms 9 gems of wisdom distilled from 6 decades of his life experience. He beautifully gives it a personal touch throughout the book telling how these principles worked for him and why they should work for you.Of course, the author doesn't expect you to just believe and trust whatever he says. There are numerous scientific references and evidences to support each principle. It is astonishing to note there are 117 references spread across 19 pages and sourced from across the world. I really wonder how he remembered all these books and picked those quotes! The book is extremely conscious of the fast-paced, modern lifestyle and makes gentle suggestions with not even a hint of derision. Daaji deeply empathizes with the present generation and offers simple, practicable wisdom without appearing to be overbearing. Right from pre-conception up to the stage of youth, he navigates the path for you in bringing up a child. Each chapter, at its end, carries a relevant question from a worried parent just like you and me. Each question is masterfully answered, thus giving the reader hope and confidence. Finally, he concludes with the highest wisdom: the wisdom to love. Nay, the wisdom to BECOME love.If you read this book and implement these 9 pearls in your life, it's 200% guaranteed that you would not only bring up a loving child but would build a harmonious family and therefore a peaceful society. Much needed now!!If I need to wear the hat of a real critic, I could only say that there is a bit of leaning on spirituality. That may perhaps be the essential ingredient of Daaji's secret sauce!

A modern and fresh lens on building a healthy and communicative family that everyone should read.
What I continue to appreciate about Daaji's approach to many modern topics -- in The Wisdom Bridge, parenting and family -- is that he utilizes his own experiences, his own triumphs and tribulations, as honest learning lessons that have helped him to reflect on his own parenting journey. That honesty and relatability is what makes The Wisdom Bridge so engaging: you can hear your own experiences in Daaji's experience. While I am not a parent myself, as a newly-wed and as someone thinking through the psychological concept of re-parenting, this book was immensely helpful in helping me to unwind some of my own current habits and to think about how I want to change as an individual as I step into a new phase in life and think about the values I want my future family (and my current value) to imbibe. A great read, one that I recommend for everyone, and look forward to reading again!

Transformative - Changed my perspective on inter-human relationships
As I started reading this book, I realised how a vast wealth of wisdom from our past generations is being lost in this mad rush towards modernisation. Parents are too busy making their living and dealing with the challenges of their own lives and the next generation is increasingly getting cut off from their grand parents thus breaking this element of human bonding which is vital for the existence of humanity. Excessive dependence on electronics and media to fulfil our needs and wants has become the bane of humanity. As a parent of two girls (a teen and a tween) I could not help but wish I had this book to guide me when my children were very young. However, I started implementing some very simple and practical tips indicated in the book and I can see a very clear positive shift in the attitudes of my children as well as how other children respond to me when I interact with them. This book serves as a wakeup call for all adults to look at life not from their selfish individual self centred perspective but as contributors to the well being of society as a whole. I highly recommend it for adults of all ages no matter whether you have children or not, to contribute towards a mentally, emotionally and spiritually healthier society.
