HYDRA Fountain Clear For All Water features Steriliser Cleaner (60ml)

We scrubbed out our water feature and filled it with clean water for the summer. We put another proprietary brand in as per instructions, but within a few days the water and bottom were dark murky green where all the algae had regrown. We sent for the Hydra Fountain clear water and put the “shock” dose of 5ml (for our 40litre feature) straight into the water. It does advise you to drain, clean and refill water feature then add shock dose. However, it was the middle of the heatwave and we just couldn’t face doing it. Within 3 days it had killed all the algae and we could see the bottom of the water feature again. The algae have died and gone brown, but the water itself is really clean and clear. When it cools down a bit, we will drain, clean and refill adding the shock dose and thereafter you only need to add 1 ml maintenance dose (for the size of our water feature) weekly. That way the feature should stay completely algae free. It’s safe (at the listed doses given on the bottle) for pets & wildlife too. Brilliant product.

Works really well and doesnt stop the birds bathing in it

We bought a fountain and I had no idea how to treat the water. So I tried some enzyme stuff and it was a disaster. I was cleaning the fountains every other week. I was not keen on chemicals but tried this and now I never have to clean them beyond removing some sediment the collects. There's no green algae or wriggling worms anymore. There's a handy dose measuring device built in so super easy to use and calculate the dosage. The dog likes to drink the water and she's still very much alive and kicking. This is really good stuff. In the image of the fountain I dosed that 4 weeks ago and it's still clear and free from unwanted pesky guests.

Excellent product

We have a small water feature, and due to high temperatures it was suffering from algae forming very quickly and the pump being blocked. However a small dose of this product has made a huge difference. Water is running clear despite having to top the reservoir up frequently, and virtually no algae has appeared. Definitely recommend it. No problem for the birds who have a drink now and again. Worth what it cost
