Quality for price...
This item worked PERFECTLY to fix my Honda. My 2006 CR-V was getting the VSA dash light and check engine light. I replaced the VTEC solenoid module with this one and the problem was IMMEDIATELY fixed perfectly!!! Also eliminated the rocker arm code and cam code...for $40 and I probably saved a few hundred in labor. Three bolts and two connectors, so SIMPLE!!! All three bolts are 10MM.

Exact Replacement
I was dealing with the OBD2 code for the VTEC solenoid. Since replacing it and the connectors for it I have not had the code come back. The part was an exact replacement and fit.

Incompatible part
This item is NOT compatible with a 2005 Honda CR-V. Perfect fit but wrong voltage on one of the sensors causing more errors on dash lights and a scan. Car will not start. Do yourself a favor and order an OEM Honda part!

So far…So good
This has been on my 2008 Honda Element for over 90 days and it continues to work well. The solenoid is not too difficult to install; it’s more of a mind game getting ready to reach in places that you can't see very well and the fear something might break. Just take your time, be patient and you should be successful.

FIXED 2007 HONDA ACCORD

Good part, bad gasket. Get an OEM gasket.
The actual part works well, but the included gasket is noticeably smaller than the OEM honda one and doesn't seat that well. After about a month a p2646 code came back and I'm suspecting that gasket as the primary issue. To anyone looking at this, I would reccomend getting an OEM gasket and cleaning your existing part before buying a whole new assembly.

Quality and fitment
Fixed my vtec problems on the k24 in the element. Chose this one over the cheaper alternative because the quality is better by far on this one

Stay far away
-5 stars: Installed. It cleared the check engine light for 1 day. The next day the problem is not only back but is worse: on top of the check engine, the red oil lamp went on.
