Does the cb radio have 40 channels?

The cb radio has 80 channels. 40 of UK band and 40 of EU band.

Can any one help?. having trouble with this. don't know if i'm doing some thing wrong. don't seem t be hearing any one or if any one can hear me.

You need to find someone else who has a cb of some sort and while your cb is basically set up. You can test your communication.
