Juno E-Series Smooth Retrofit Downlight, 5CCT Switchable (27K, 30K, 35K, 40K, 50K), 90+ CRI, 6-Inch, White

I have been trying a number of snap in LED retrofit lights. This was the most difficult install. Juno/Lithonia generally makes GREAT lights-- solid, well designed, even inexpensive contractor grade. HOWEVER: I found these extremely difficult to install, unlike other LED retrofit downlights, including others made by Juno. The plug/receptacle for the LED/incandescent bulb interface is located on the top surface of the light. As a result, it takes all the weight of the light and pulls out easily. The result was that it popped out, I dropped the light and bent it and can't return it. It was just a hassle. I will use a different Juno product. I am a female DIYer of 74. Also harder to get it to lie flush against the ceiling. Other than that the light quality was fine. The deep baffle draws the eye more than I wanted, so they didn't look as unobtrusive as a different Juno model with a shallow baffle. The baffle diffuses the light, but You have to have a 10 foot ceiling to get a full beam spread. The switch for determining the warmth or coolness of the light worked easily and well. (2700 is warm for bedrooms, etc. 3000 and up is cooler and more like daylight.)

Light fixtures arrived damaged and scratched. I am not allowed to explain why or Amazon will delete my review. That said, my recommendation is buy these lights as single packaged units.

Trim ring on old Juno can light broke when I took it apart to clean the fixture. This retrofit kit was less money that the replace trim ring and fit perfectly. The light is sealed no no more having to take the old one apart to clean the glass.

Nothing to dislike here. Simply the best quality light, easy to install, and covers just a little more than most light rings so it covers any little misses on the ceiling paint. No need to paint touch up.Better lumens than all others that I tried and very easy to change the light temperature

These lights dim on a range from super-bright to bright. Anything below bright is unattainable and I tried them with 3 different dimmer switches, 2 of which were on the list of recommended dimmers from the manufacturer. If these lights are for anywhere near where you may want to watch a movie and not feel like you are on the surface of the sun, these probably are not for you.

We just had our ceiling painted and these make the ceiling look like new! They fit the older Juno recessed cans perfectly!

Looks good and seems sturdily built. Color temperature seems accurate at the 2700K setting. Happy with my purchase.
