Keeps the bugs away and they do a great job of coming on and off with the dust to dawn sensor they use, too some time to get use to the yellow light when waking into the kitchen and thinking there was a fire outside burning with a glow, too many years with white lights outside, but now we can walk out the kitchen door at night and not have bugs flying all around us.

Ambient glow. Just bright enough to be able to see, without overpowering and feeling like daylight. The auto light is a very nice feature, automatically shuts off when the sun comes up, saving some energy.

I do see a decrease in the amount flying insects and I actually like the yellow glow. It’s reminiscent of the sulfur lights in the parking lots of my youth. I like that it is dusk to dawn activated, so even if I leave it on all night it turns off when the sun comes up. This doesn’t keep away all bugs. It has no effect on spiders or scorpions, but it has lessened the amount of flying insects. All you do is screw it into the light socket and it’s ready.

I purchased these to replace white bulbs which made for a nice appearance but attracted every flying bug on my street. They have been in use for 2 weeks, and work as advertised, lighting at dusk and turning off at dawn. NO bugs. Zero. Nada. I recommend these if you want to open your door to the outside at night without bugs flying in.

A co-worker told me about dusk to dawn lights -I didn't they were a thing. I was using the regular dusk to dawn lights and felt like I was housing all the night bugs/ insects in my neighborhood. One day out the blue my co-worker told me about these too. I have been using them for a couple of days and my screen door has been EMPTY. I notice a huge difference and it is nice to NOT be greeted with insects/ big flying bugs leaving for work in the morning or coming home at night- feeling as if you are crashing a party you weren't invited to at your own residence! I absolutely enjoy them!

Works like a charm, no more spiders on our porch. With the lights auto coming on at night and going off in the morning, perfect for a secure feeling on our property. Pricing was very good.
