THE SEARCH IS OVER
Thanks for reading!Over the last couple of years I’ve been on a quest to find and test the pens with the finest points. From subjective writing/drawing experience to quantitative measurements with a scanning electron microscope, I’ve put more than 30 different ultra-fine tipped pens (0.38mm or less) through a multitude of tests to determine which strikes the perfect balance between fine lines and smooth writing. This pen, without a doubt, is the smoothest writing rollerball with a nib size under 0.3mm that I have ever come across. If a pen could feel like a mechanical pencil, but with unbreakable lead, and rich black lines, this is it. I want every excuse to write with this pen now. It’s better than the 0.25mm Pentel Slicci by miles, and the 0.28mm uni-ball edge by light years. I may buy a few dozen of these in case they ever get discontinued.ONE MAJOR CAVEATI have never tested the Rotring Isograph series of pens, which do actually get down to a nib size of 0.1mm. The problem is that they’re nib does not fall into a traditional category, and requires cleaning after every use… which is a major deal break for me.At the time of writing, the world’s finest tipped rollerball pen (discontinued 5 years prior) can be purchased new on eBay for ~$1200-$1400… with a nib size of 0.18mm. Pretty incredible, the price and precision engineering I mean. But, I DO NOT have that kind of money to spend on something used to mark dehydrated tree blood, so here I am buying $10-$20 pens/pen sets hoping to satisfy my itch.

Get these, but don't buy them too much. I'd like for the price to remain the same.
These pens are the bomb!! I love to write lightly and it's so perfect for my italic styled handwriting. I love pens that are thin and it almost reminds me of a thin mm mechanical pencil. It feels so comfortable and easy for my small hands to grip and write comfortably. The price was so great compared to another set I'd bought. I'm not a big color pen girlie, so I appreciate these pens for school and journaling. The ink hasn't shorted in the one I've been using and my writing tends to be as long winded as my verbal communication.

Finally found the one
This pen is so sharp and crisp for exact lines its crazy. Can easily write in crazy small print or make architect quality edits to blueprints

Good small tip
Writes nice and small, although a little wider if you move the pen slowly (like you have to move it to write tiny letters). Sometimes they give me a little trouble (the ink wants to quit flowing) but nothing egregious.

Best small writer pen.
Im not a professional writer, just a guy who uses pocket notebooks and writes anywhere from small to pretty small. I used this pen for 5 minutes and had to write this review. I watched videos and did research for pens. I came across these and have been very excited to get them since I ordered them....yesterday. I usually used the g2 .38mm but found them to be to big and would bleed over in my normal writing and make it look unclean and blotchy. The Pilot HI-TEC-C pens write smoothly and is not blotchy at my normal writing size. Even when I get really small the pen does really well. I have to get a bit more comfortable with this pen to see how much I can get out of it but if you like a really tight hair line pen, get these.

Awesome!
I love these pens. They have a VERY fine point, which I love. Even though they’re ballpoints, I’ve virtually never had a problem in use. The fine point uses less ink, so they last a long time, too.I used to use fancy, very expensive ($300-700) pens. These cheap, disposable pens match their functionality if not their appearance. Unlike some fine-point felt-tip art pens (e.g., Sakura), these won’t bleed on cheap paper like sudoku puzzle books.

These pens write great, but diminish over time
I think these pens are great initially! The ink is dark and the lines are thin. But over time, I found that it became more difficult to write with them. They are not very smooth and the ink became much lighter. I've been using the same one for about a year and there's still a lot of ink left over. It's great initially, but it dulls down in quality over time.
