This book unearthed many such uncomfortable questions.
BOOK REVIEW: This book authored by ex-R&AW officer (G.B.S Sidhu) is a painful revelation of high-level conspiracy that resulted in death of thousands of innocent persons and created a gigantic problem out of hitherto non-existent issue. This book starts with promulgation of National Emergency (advised by SSR), destabilizing SAD govt in 1977, planting pro-K ideas in Punjab, why and how ZS were behind creation of Dal Khalsa, Shortlisted JSB to head Damdami Taksal which led to Blue Star, IG assassination and finally deadly pogrom of 1984. Govt had just created a Frankenstein. How Pak would continue to bolster the pro-Khalistan movement to avenge its loss of East Pakistan? Why MD reduced R&AW budget which impacted its strength of operation? How Canada (birth place of Ghadar movement) suddenly became the epicenter for K movements? Who was JSC who had placed a full page ad in NY Times for creation of K in 1971? Why RG allowed him to hoist K flag at Ananadpur Sahib in 1989? Who was SS (ex-Indian decorated army man PVSM,AVSM)? Why he became the commander of JSB and turned against its own govt? This book unearthed many such uncomfortable questions.

Curious about 1984? A perfect read for you!
A perfect book for those curious about 1984, Operation Blue Star, Indira Gandhi's assassination and the anti sikh pogrom. Although the author seems a little biased at times, but it is only natural as he himself is one of the sufferers.

The truth
This books explains the truth behind the violence in Punjab, how Hindus and Sikhs were divided by the Central Govt and the unrest created in the 80s in Punjab... And I understand that we still haven't understood how political parties divide us to stay in power, yesterday it might have been some other party, today the scenario isn't different, sadly.

Good book on operation blue star.
William Shakespeare has very rightly written"O conspiracy, Shamest thou to show thy dangerous brow by night,When evils are most free? O, then by day,Where wilt thou find a cavern dark enoughTo mask thy monstrous visage? Seek none, conspiracy;Hide it in smiles and affability:For if thou path, thy native samblance on,Not Erebus itself were dim enoughTo hide thee from prevention".Has good connection with the writer of this book. In India people are lured on basis of caste as Gandhi family ( formerly Nehru) PT Jawahar LAL Nehru was great man but he always wanted to make his daughter Prime Minister, it is open secret. After death of Mrs Indira Gandhi his son Rajeev Gandhi was chosen PM even though many person like Pranav Mukherji, Sharad Panwar, Arjun Singh but he was chosen as leader of Congress party. He was na ahal( incompetent) not experienced and later incidents proved it amply.I recall very well the editorial which was written by late Mr Giri LAL Jain editor The Times of India sometimes in December 1983 or in 1984. He wrote that it is 11 a m in the history of Sikhs, if they don't awake the clock will strike 12 pm. Only they would suffer ( on sardar Had Chand Longowal call to stop grain beyond Punjab) Now the Britishers are not our soil. There maybe a Hindu backlash. He was right after operation blue star , violence spread and about 5000 innocent Sikhs were butcherd. The book is very good and also timely.I strongly recommend the book. The paper is good and so as printing but price is high which should be not more than 300 rupees. It is good that writer is son in law of our great Sardar Swarn Singh. He was prime ministerial candidate but ignored. His wise advices were not sought, once at Taskand agreement and another at Simla agreement, it was really very unfortunate. It is very unfortunate that no good biography has been written on him so far. He requires better treatment for his services to the nation. He was best Foreign minister so far who correctly dealt with Pakistan and China.

Exposes the Congress scheme to destroy Punjab
A very well written and important book which walks the reader step by step on how a conspiracy was hatched to sow a division between Sikhs and Hindus for selfish political gain. It lays out a very good case with intelligence insights on how the interests of the congress party in the 1980’s lead to the destruction of Punjab and the Riots against Sikhs in Delhi and other places. Hopeful this book will help the next Generations in India and elsewhere to be vigilant against any nefarious political schemes.

Brilliantly narrated painful history of recent Punjab
This is such an excellent book by Sri GBS Sidhu given the narrative of Khalistan that is propagated these days.Books lays out in complete detail how the entire Khalistan issue was created out of thin air. Bhindranwale was selected to act as a patsy toward achieving Indira's political ambitions but as it happens the frankenstein turned on its creator. A fantastic narration that puts history in the right perspective.A must read!!!
