The perfect watch for ADHD. Look no further!
Alright listen up, I have the info. I bought the Apple Watch, the FitBit, and some other top rated watches on Amazon. Then I got penalized for too many returns, but I digress. The thing to know about me is that I have ADHD. This is the one for me. I LOVE it. I charge it once every few weeks. That’s the hugest game changer. And it syncs w my phone to show me text messages and information from various apps. It’s the perfect level of smartness. And the watch face shows me information which is very motivating, and the app is also nice, AND it syncs w my iPhone health data so it’s all nicely integrated automatically. Also, I accidentally left this in my pocket and it went through the washer and dryer, and it works fine. That is what compelled me to write this review. I could see by the time tracking that time in the dryer caused 3,600 steps to be counted. Pro Tip: I have an AirTag attached to my watch bc I’m constantly misplacing it. Why I didn’t like the others: - Apple Watch was not good for me bc it lasted just a day and I will never remember to charge it. - A different Garmin (a giant circle one) wasn’t right for me bc the watch face was too giant. - The Fitbit was just a piece of garbage AND didn’t have enough information on the watch face to motivate me AND it didn’t separate out active from base metabolic calories (I.e. mathematically calculated and automatic calories). And the Fitbit app was full of ads. Things I would change: - I absolutely love my watch. I just wish I could replace the band with prettier bands, and maybe a loop-around band instead of having to use the buckle. - I wish I could easily toggle the silence mode i.e. from mute (no vibration) to having vibration. Doing so now requires a couple button presses and navigating the menus. - I wish I could manually delete workouts, but I can’t. You’d have to contact the company to delete a log you don’t want. They are responsive, though. But still, if you are super serious about having fine control over your logging and can’t have your metrics messed with at all, you may need to look for additional options to compare. But this watch is highly accurate, I’ve found.

Love the battery life
Love this watch. Super durable, easy to navigate and read the screen. Accurate heart rate monitoring. I run, lift, swim, yoga, play sports etc and it can track it. Love that during lifting sessions it can track my reps and provide rest times. People often mistake it for an Apple Watch. Emergency contacting is great. Battery life lasts me about 6 days with GPS use and 10 days for casual day to day.

This is what I hoped a smart health tracking watch would be
I'm an Android user for many years and wanted a small watch that checked the boxes, without needing to be a wrist-worn laptop! I've had two Samsung Galaxy watch variants, I like round analog displays, and they were cool for a while but missed in two major ways, 1) the most important of all, fit, 2) battery life and 3), well, usability. All that is leading up to what this Garmin watch is and does. It's just the right size for my small (man) wrist. The strap holds it in place, it's not a big bulbous affair strapped to a skinny pole, it's a good fit, and also gets the thickness just right. It came charged to about 64%, I charged it to 100% in fairly short order, and I'm now on day 4 and it's at 43%. I'm really happy with that. I've been for 1hr+ activities daily with GPS on and worn it 24x7. If a watch expects to be worn to track sleep, it needs to be worn, not on a charger at night, so another win here. Usability - I'm a big believer in smart things needing to be intuitive and not need manuals to explain them. It paired with my Droid, the Garmin app loaded and communicates without hiccup. The watch reacts appropriately to the turn of my wrist to wake, it's got a sharp and bright display and responds well. What am I using it for? Daily work stuff - a small vibration when I get email (hundreds a day) and MS Teams and text notifications. It brings two factor auth to my wrist instantly. Oh, and it tells the time! Activities - this is really why I wanted it, I'm getting on in life and need to stay active. It's tracking my steps, heart rate, sleep quality, and other facets of daily health, and nudging me for my daily activity and step quota. It makes maps of my hikes, and literally in the last few days is instrumental in support of my last few weeks of losing 8lb simply by being more aware of the need to be active and how much effort I've put in every day. I knew I didn't need top of the range for running etc but also needed one device that I'd always be willing to wear. This checked all the boxes. Very happy with it.

Best training partner when paired with Forerunner 965
Excellent training companion! I usually wear my Forerunner 965 during runs/workouts/sleeps which provides comprehensive fitness and heath data, however, it’s way too big to be worn with my office attires. The Venu SQ2 (while resembles an Apple Watch) does pretty much the same thing yet can be hidden under the dress shirt easily. It to mention the battery lasts so much longer than the Apple Watch. The downside of the Venu SQ2 is that it doesn’t track overnight HRV like the FR965 or Apple Watch. But it works perfectly when pairs with FR965! TrueUp actually allows Garmin Connect app to combine data from both watches (FR965 for workouts and sleeps; Venu SQ2 during rest of the day) seamlessly. I like the Venu SQ2 so much I bought another one for my family!

So far I am extremely pleased with the watch
So far the battery life is amazing. It recently lasted 9 nights with 15% to spare which... In my personal experience beats the Samsung & Fitbit batteries (I had a Samsung Gear and a Fitbit charge) at some point... Probably in a few years, given the choice of smart watches, I would probably most likely stick with Garmin as an upgrade! Batteries are an important feature for me with rechargeable items. And screens! The screen on this is amazing and if you swipe left you can make the screen more dim or brighter and usually I have it halfway or lower. Also if you hold the top button down, you can easily make the watch go on DND (do not disturb). So far zero complaints for the watch and I love the little graphics you get when you hit a step or hydration goal! Oh and there is a feature to alert your nearest and dearest (of course if your phone is within Bluetooth distance) easily if there is an emergency!!! This is a feature distinctly unique to the Garmin family and made for the largest selling point for me during the purchase. During this time of unease here in the states, I needed this for my peace, to let family know if they must find out my geographic location!! Hope this review helps someone 😁

Great Standard Smartwatch That's Survived A Lot
I bought this forever ago and it's still running strong. I've dropped it on concrete in job sites and sweated all over it, it stands up. Looks beautiful and has lots of watch faces available. The counts all seem accurate, I like the steps have an option to gradually step you up and down in your daily goals, you can also get congratulated for doing things like double your step goals on very busy days. Pretty standard fitness watch that I think is a great deal, it's lasted longer than all of my FitBits put together. I did not like the band that it came with, I bought this forever ago and threw out the original but I believe it was a weird silicone. There's plenty of additional bands available on Amazon if you don't like the default one though and it's easy to change.

Real long battery life.
This watches outstanding, many great features. The future I like the best is the battery life, in the description that says it lasts 11 days however I've always gotten 14 days. This watch is awesome.

Love this!….Well, I used to (update)
****Update **** I’ve now had the watch 3 years. About 6-8 months ago, the battery started declining, went from 8-10 days to about 5.. Last couple weeks, even faster decline, now about 1-2 days sometimes quicker. Now, the watch also just shuts off randomly. I have to plug it in to turn it on again, battery percentage shows >50%. I’ve done hard reset, made adjustments that I could…no change. Read many comments on Garmin sites and this is not uncommon apparently. It seems to begin at the approximate 2.5 year mark for most. Garmin doesn’t seem want to send a firmware update to fix. According to some, support only offers another watch at a discount. No thanks… Will look for something else. A lot of money for 2.5-3 years (for me anyway). Appears I got lucky lasting 3 years. Hope I can find something else. I loved this watch until recently. But no real support shows they don’t care. I don’t understand why things can’t be made to last..at least lower the cost knowing need another after 2.5-3 years. ************** I have had this for almost a year now. I've not had any issues with it. Love that I can change the face to fit my needs and track what I want to track. They have several apps that you can put on the watch to use for different activities like cycling, golfing. I haven't really gotten it wet yet. Out of habit, I take it off before showering, swimming, etc. My other fitness watches were not water resistant/proof. To me it is a nice size. People mistake it for an apple watch. My battery life has been excellent between charges. I go anywhere from 7 to 14 days between charges and that usually depends on my activity as well as what the level is when I decide to charge it. Charges quickly as well. I don't have some things constantly monitor, like the O2, and that helps as well with the battery life, I'm sure. Depending on what watch face you use, some info may be too small to read if you use reading glasses and don't have them on. I get notifications for my iPhone and can read the text and see who's calling but cannot respond to call or text from watch. I'm good with that as it gives me the freedom to not feel like I have to stop what I am doing to answer. The bands are easy to change out as well.
