I needed to be hands free to work on sewing crafts, read my books, and other sitting tasks, but my chair is in a location that had some shadows even with overhead lighting and my eyesight isn't as good as it once was.This lamp met and exceeded my needs so well. It assembled without more than necessary trouble. I am using it as a floor lamp at present so the clamp for the table is stowed away. It has good moving extension parts that let me move it up, down, side to side, closer, farther, or simply twist the magnifier into a better position. It has good balance and isn't teetering at all even when I pull it into a new place.The lamp has a warm light or a cool light setting which both are bright without being too much. The magnifying glass is of the size that allows me to read a full page of a hardbound book settled in my lap without having to move the book about. It has a mid-range magnification compared to other lamps of this sort since there are ones who magnify more powerfully and others have less magnification. It's enough for me to see my embroidery stitching, pull a tiny splinter out of my husband's finger, read the small print on labels, and more.Definitely recommend this model.

I use this lamp for cross stitching....excellent lamp, especially for the price. Two different light settings, warm and white. Perfect magnification with a glass lens that is just the right size. I love that I can use as a floor lamp or a table lamp, or even attach it to my stitching floor stand by removing the table clamp or floor base. Cord is a bit short, but is attached in a convenient spot. This is the second one I have purchased. The first one last 4 years before the light died, with medium to heavy use. The second one did have some cloudiness in the lens, but seller was very responsive and sent a new lens at no cost, even though I was outside of my return window. Would definitely purchase again, even if the light isn't replaceable. (I'm not even sure that it isn't.) Also, even though the light does get a little warm, it's not as bad as other daylight lamps I have used.

They give a great description of it which is why I bought it. My husband is a general contractor and there are always drawings or pictures he needs to get a better and closer look at. The light is great in that you can have the bright white or soft yellow. The magnifier is great in that he can see the small print on architectural plans! I've set it up with the base on the floor and the adjustable arms over the desk. It's high enough that it doesn't interfere with the file folders on his desk. The light gives him a lot of extra light because we only have the ceiling light in the room. It was super easy to put together with just screwing in the extension to the base and screwing in the other extension poll to that. Then you just place the adjustable swing arm in the other end of the extension. They also send the clamp if you want to clamp it directly to your desk. The quality of the materials is great. They are metal and sturdy and look completely new (as they should)! He uses the light more than the magnifier so that's a real bonus because he's in his 60's and it's harder to see things. This is great!

So, somehow I got the impression that it was a couple different parts, that's on me. It is a single stand with a single light, two modes cool and warm lighting. It also has the magnifying glass. The picture represents the different ways it can be used. I am using it as a tall lamp to go over my paintings. It's easy to maneuver and lights the pieces well.The only reason I give it four stars is because it would be nice to have a part to grab to maneuver it so I don't have to worry about getting smudges on the light or the glass. I also wish there were brightness choices, and let it go brighter for when I am really doing small detail work.All in all for the money it is a great buy, works as advertised, easy to put together, seems like it is sturdy and will last some time.

I got this for my father in law as Xmas gift. So he can read tiny prints on his phone. Great magnifying light to see smaller print or removing splinters. This LED light is on a flexible shaft so it is easy to get into the right position for whatever need you have for the light, whether it is reading a book or lighting your keyboard. There is a tightening screw to hold the shaft in position. It’s very bright and had great flexibility. very sturdy heavy base too. It also has a extra removable base for desk. So you can easily convert it to a desk lamp. I would recommend this magnifying table lamp to friend or anyone who needs an improved environment to read or see small details on project.Pros Functional, Good Size & Weight, Looks Great, Nice Design, Very Bright. I bought this lamp because the one I currently have does not have a floor standing option so, as a result, has lost its grip more times than I can count, crashes to the floor, and adds yet more scratches to the glass and a bald patch to my scalp where I have ripped my hair out in frustration (not really but it sounds good). This lamp appears to be sturdy and, although I will use the stand, it has a desk clamp option for those daredevils with full heads of hair. I like that the light has two light settings depending on what you're using it for. I do counted cross stitch where it is important to see the true color of the thread and the daylight setting should do well. Good price, easy assembly, recommended.
