Miriam Webster may not be a name that you instantly recognize, however coming from Hillsong Church in Sydney, Australia, Miriam served as one of their main worship leaders. Miriam has appeared on several Hillsong releases so its likely you're already singing some of her songs. Such songs include `Made Me Glad', `Dwelling Places', `Exceeding Joy', `Welcome in this Place' and more recently, `You are Faithful'. Various worship leaders from across the globe have recorded Miriam's songs including Alvin Slaughter, New Breed, Don Moen, Martin Smith and Sandi Patty. Whether singing or speaking, Miriam is known to bring the freedom of Christ to people through worship and the Word of God. Her new album `Made Me Glad' does just that.

Deserves Wider Recognition - A Beautiful Voice
I first became aware of Miriam Webster seven or eight years ago when I was flipping channels and landed on the Hillsong show on one of the Christian television networks. The initial object of my attention was Darlene Zschech, who was then Hillsong's worship leader and primary singer, and who is indeed a marvelous singer in her own right. But occasionally the lead fell to Miriam Webster, a slender, blonde, charismatic woman with a rich and soulful voice. She immediately captivated me, and I've waited a long time for a CD of Miriam Webster music. This is it, and I'm not disappointed.Although now transformed into a brunette, Webster still has that same, soulful voice, and she could hold her own against country/pop divas such as Wynonna Judd and Shania Twain. She's that good. (In fact, on some of her songs, Webster would strike a note or phrase that reminded me of someone, and I finally realized that that someone is Wynonna Judd. In fact, the melody of the albums'f final song - "Fall Upon Your Knees" - is reminiscent of Wynonna's "My Strongest Weakness". Thus it is fitting that this CD was recorded in Tennessee with some of the best studio musicians available.)Most of the songs on the album are written by Webster, and they're strong songs, often employing Biblical passages, which gives them a familiar quality. Webster does not strive for flights of poetry or cleverness or irony, but sticks to the roots of her evangelical and revivalist background. The musicianship is excellent, and so are the arrangements. Some of the songs have a full, contemporary Christian sound reminiscent of Hillsong, but without Hillsong's cast of thousands. Other songs are quieter, but there's not a skip-over song on the entire album.Miriam Webster has one of the most beautiful voices of our time, and deserves a wider audience. I hope this album will help bring her to that audience.

Angelic
I knew what Miriam's voice sounded like and that is the reason that I purchased this CD, knowing full well thatit was bound to be pleasant to the ears and very good for the soul. First heard Miriam's voice on Hillsong/Darlene Zschech Cd's. I have bought ALL of Darlene Zschech/Hillsong CD's during her(Darlene's) time as worship leader. Will continue to buy Miriam Webster's CD's as they become available. She has a beautiful voice. If you love Darlene Zschech's voice... you will like/love Miriam Webster. :-)

This is one of the best cds I have ever purchased!Excellent Voice and songs, makes me fall on my Knees.I could not wait for this to come outand I was not disappointed.I would pay $100 for it.

Beautiful Worship Music
I absolutely love this cd. There is not one song that I don't like. Great to worship. I can highly recommend this, and am difficult to please when it comes to worship music.

Amazing worship and praise
Miriam Webster is so talented. Her songs are a blessing that you find yourself flowing in praise and worship. If you are looking for uplifting music, I highly recommend this CD.

Well Miriam is the most under rated songwriter at Hillsongs - all her songs are like reading the Psalms, and her voice is so powerful it makes the hairs stand up on the back of your neck. 'Made Me Glad' is maybe her most famous track, and it's covered with a new arrangement here - but get Hillsongs 'Worship 3' from many years ago and listen to 'It Is He' - it's jaw dropping.All these songs are good, Darlene guests, but the biggest surprise is her husband Simeon has written some of it - including my favourite 'Peace' which has a real annointing on it - we should be singing this stuff in church folks - well worth buying.

Surely the angel of the Lord is around me
A really nice CD, favourite tracks are Angel of the Lord, a fantastic song about God's protection, and Praise Him - a lovely upbeat song to declare God's goodness.Possibly should've given 4 stars.

This is an excellent worship CD. But the case was cracked when it arrived.
