This set of 48 Artecho Square Chalk Premium, including 4 Fluorescent colours, arrived today. Every single one was in PERFECT condition - I say this because there are some folks who have said in their reviews that theirs arrived broken and complained that the packaging wasn't good enough. I have to say that the packaging on this set was very good, with two layers of foamy neoprene type packing on top of each of the layers of chalks and each individual chalk was nestled inside it's very own foam type 'bed', all this meant that any bumps during transit didn't break the chalks. I haven't tested every colour in the box, but I did test some and they were perfect. The colours are fabulous, and I could blend them easily just using my finger tip - although you will need to wash your hands otherwise you'll transfer the colours wherever you touch! (You can blend them using a scrap of old T-Shirt material to save your fingers!). The size of each chalk is [approx] 6.5cm and each one fits snugly into it's own cut out in the deeper foam. There are two layers of chalks. Each one can be removed from the box by using the little plastic tabs at the top and bottom of each layer, which is brilliant because it means it's easy to get the layers out, and easy to pop them back in the box when you've finished. I think they're great value for money and functional for all sorts of art or crafty purposes. They'd be lots of fun for children to use - but make sure you get them to wash their hands before they put their hands on the walls or furniture! All in all these really are very good value for money and I'm thoroughly pleased with them. Great for artists wanting to colour up or add even just a tint of something to a drawing. They're also fabulous for those folks who make their own miniatures (dolls house furniture etc) and like to use chalk to colour up their liquids of choice or items. I hope this review has been of help to you. I paid for my product and haven't received any incentive to give this product a 'glowing' review. This review is simply me summing up my own opinions of this product so that you can make any purchase based on an up to date and honest review.

Great for sketching on black paper. Good quality.

Great selection of colours. Only a light touch required and the colours will blend easily. Colour stays where you put it unless you want to smudge it deliberately. The pastels are very small, but easy for anyone to use, unless you have very large hands! I was quite impressed with the quality.

Packaged in a nice robust box, two layers of pastel sticks. Plenty of colour choices. There are four luminous sticks which look interesting although I haven't tried them yet. They are super soft and quite crumbly, you don't need to press hard at all. They blend extremely well with fingers or kitchen towel and the colours are very vivid. I did a quick picture with them of a tutorial I saw on Youtube to test them out. Looks rather nice I think. Seem like quality pastels. I would use them mostly for backgrounds, larger areas and blending as they are too soft for detailing - the corners blunted very quickly. Pair with pastel pencils for finer detail and you could get some stunning artwork. Cover your edges though as they do produce a fair amount of dust and will likely migrate to other bits of your paper you wanted to keep clear unless you cover it up.

Excelente presentación. Los colores son preciosos y muy cubrientes, mezclables. Me han encantado, los he vuelto a comprar. La foto es de un retrato que acabo de comenzar, aún falta mucho para acabar pero se puede apreciar bien la textura de estas tizas pastel.

Die Pastellkreide kam pünktlich an und ich habe sie sofort ausprobiert. Die Farben sind wirklich deckend und lassen sich auch super verblenden. Finde es auch super, dass schwarz und weiß gleich doppelt dabei ist. Man muss natürlich nur aufpassen, dass man nicht zu viel Druck aufbaut, sonst brechen die Stücke durch. Ansonsten kann ich mich nicht beschweren. Würde ich definitiv wieder kaufen.

Ces pastels sont arrivés aujourd’hui et j’en suis ravie. Je suis récemment allée à une expo où j’ai vu de magnifiques tableaux, tous réalisés au pastel. En rentrant chez moi, j’ai eu envie d’essayer moi-même de peindre au pastel. Étant donné que je suis une débutante absolue et que j’habite loin d’un magasin d’art, je les ai achetés sur Amazon. Ils sont incroyables : un choix immense de couleurs, le tout magnifiquement présenté dans une boîte. Le prix est excellent et le rapport qualité-prix est incroyable. Bien sûr, le coût lié au lancement d’un nouveau loisir est toujours un élément à prendre soigneusement en compte. Mais, grâce à Amazon, je vais pouvoir découvrir et m’essayer à ce nouveau passe-temps. Merci Amazon!
