Excellent tilling for existing garden beds
Had my doubts at first. This Scotts tool assembled easily. Came with charger and battery. Was amazed at how long the battery lasted in initial use, 2+ hrs. The tines did excellent job of tilling in moderate compacted soil. By pulling tiller back towards body it dug in nicely. Easy to control the depth by either using light or heavy pressure on secondary control handle. Well made and expect this to be in my garden essential’s for a while. Is a good value for its construction and utility. Get one, y’all wont be disappointed.

Tree roots and rocks!
I was really hoping this little guy would do the job, and it did! I’m a 54 year old woman with a horrible back .. I wanted to plant some new annuals next to my sidewalk, started to dig holes and found nothing but roots and rocks and clay. I ordered this tiller and was hopeful. The battery lasted longer than I did. The thing emits a load buzzing noise when the tines get bound up, but they are easy to turn backwards to release the debris. I was able to clean out the big rocks and roots, till in some compost and clay softener and get everything planted. Very happy with this purchase, will use it to turn up dead spots in the yard and plant grass this fall. Highly recommended!

Great Garden Tiller...
This tiller is light weight and works great tilling top soil after harvest of your backyard garden. I bought it to till my yard in preparation for planting some trees and shrubs. It's not quite powerful enough to do what I anticipated to use it for. Rocks and heavy clay soils make trouble for this machine, but it made quick work of my compost, top soil, sand and fertilizer mixtures for other areas of my yard.

Incomplete delivery
I ordered this to help me plant bulbs. It arrived in time, but there was neither a battery nor a battery charger, making it useless. I tried to have a battery and battery charger sent to to complete my order. Scotts refused, so I have to return the tiller, wait for the refund, and then order another tiller. I declined to separately purchase the battery and battery. So I bought a tiller in a box store...all parts were included in my purchase. The failure to ensure that my order was complete, or to simply send the missing items cost me a day delay in planting, and a trip to a box store, has resulted in my determination that I will never purchase another Scotts product. Next day, a neighbor gave me a compatible battery/charger for the Scotts tiller. I compared the two tillers. The box store tiller did an excellent job and was satisfactory. The Scott's tiller performance was minimally acceptable. The big difference was the weight. The store tiller was considerably heavier than the Scotts. Given arthritis, bursitis, and sciatica, I opted to retain the Scotts tiller, and return the store tiller... two trips, one to buy, one to return. Given the troubles I had because of the failure to send me a complete tiller, I retain my opinion of Scotts.

Works wonderfully!
I bought this tiller to help me keep grass and weeds out of my veggie garden. At almost 70 years old getting on my hands and knees was no longer an option. It tills very well, there's no pull cord and the battery holds up very well. I recommend this tiller to anyone for small tilling jobs! I am beyond happy that I'm able to keep growing vegetables due to this tiller.

Tiller Great! battery sucks
Great tiller! Battery lasted 1 season. Now can’t find replacement. Scott’s doesn’t make this tiller and the battery is some strange brand

Expectations
Tiller was fairly light weight, wife uses it and does well with it. Stays charged long enough to do larger flower beds. Priced a little high but it will probably pay for itself in the long run. Really don’t know how long battery life is , hasn’t went down on me yet and my wife used it for about 30 minutes.

Happy customer
Bought for my son-in-law's birthday in the summer. He just used it to till the garden at the end of the season. Called and said it worked great. Very happy with it.
