Eco Advance Exterior Wood Siloxane Odorless Spray-On Application Waterproofer, Waterproof Wood Sealer, Safe for Plants, Pets, and People, 1 Gallon

Liked the safe for pets people and animal claim. (not good for laying cats; no problem on my end) Tried using a 2 gal sprayer, but spray too course; way too much waste; needed fine sprayer for it. Switched to brush, worked great. but a (mini) roller would be fine. Dble/triple coated especially ends on redwood. Then assembled small platform ensuring all the wood got coated. No bad smell. wood handles water fine.

Delivered promptly. This is the only product I have found that actually works with a garden sprayer. Great that it does not hurt plants. It smells and looks like watered down Elmers glue. It does, unfortunately, take 2 coats. Hut that is stated in product information. This product has made a dreaded yearly task so much easier. I gave it 4 stars only because of the price of neatly $25 a gallon. So far I've used 5 gallons and have to set aside for future use. Ill definitely buy more when I need it. Update: I changed my rating to 5 stars. After nearly a month and several heavy rains my deck and glider look great and water definitely beads up. I'm glad I found this product.

Our deck gets pretty cruddy where we live, but each Spring we power wash it and treat it with this sealant. It does a great job protecting the wood for a year with it exposed to all the elements, it has definitely extended the life of our deck without a doubt. I really appreciate that it's safe to use around plants, people, pets. (We of course to not expose them to this) It's easy to combine with with water for quick use, and it does dry quickly.

So far so good. I haven't had anyone who bought my planter boxes say their plants were dying. Get a sprayer and follow instructions. It's easy

So far I like it. The directions do not recommend a brush or roller, just a sprayer. I didn’t have one so I used an old empty spray bottle. I first applied it to the handrails and it beaded so much I used a brush to even it out. By the time I finished that I decided to try just spraying, letting it soak in, and then if there were puddles I used a brush to even that spot out. After the deck boards were done I did the bottom posts. I saved the railings for last. I had no idea how much product they would require when sprayed and not brushed. Unfortunately I ran out so in order to do a second coat I will have to wait till my order arrives. You really can’t tell the product is there. It feels slightly smooth. There’s no gloss. The consistency is a lot like modpodge so a little bit I’m wondering if it’s just watered down Elmer’s glue! Anyway, cleanup was simple since it’s water based though my hands are still tacky even after doing a sink of dishes. The bottles are little. Each one makes a gallon. I used two to cover approximately 10x12 with stairs and basic railing.

I had been looking for a spray that I could use over my pond that wouldn't hurt the fish and this stuff came through big time. It repels water way better than the chemical filled stuff I used on my old dock, it's ease of use, durability and versatility is amazing. I bought more to seal other projects I've completed... just fantastic stuff!

Don't know its really works or not. I bought this for sealing vegetable garden beds and I want them to last and be food safe. Application is easy. The end look after a few months, wood is greyish. I guess the wood is more water resistant, or that's what I tell myself. Otherwise I wasted my money on some "eco friendly sealer".

I purchased and applied this wood protector 10 months ago on a newly installed fence; note: I let the fence "age" about 4 months before the application. It sprayed very easily and a simple rinse with water to clean the sprayer. A neighbor of mine also just installed his fence and he did not put any kind of protector on the wood. You can sure tell the difference in our fences, especially after a long rain. On his fence you can easily see how the rain water soaked into his boards. On my fence, the water just beads up and runs off, it doesn't soak into the wood. I'm very happy with this product and the fact it's safe to use around plants, pets and people is just another plus. 2 year update: I really wasn't sure how long this product would last so I purchased another 5 gallons to redo my fence. I power washed the fence first and was pleased to see the water was still beading on the slats, so I probably could have gone another 6 months or so before retreating. One downside: a section of my fence faces north and is under trees. I did have mildew growing on the wood. It came off pretty easily with the power washer and I'm sure it would have been much worse if it had been untreated wood. BUT... it still had mildew.

So far the water is repelling well but I could have got a similar product for waaaay cheaper.. do your research, ppl
