Are your almonds treated with PPO?

It's NOT the law that they HAVE to use cancer causing chemicals. Almonds grown in California's 400-mile-long Central Valley MUST be "pasteurized" - that is, either steam treated or gassed with the toxic fumigant propylene oxide (PPO) before sale to U.S. consumers. STEAM is healthy: PPO causes cancer. Why does our govt. even let PPO's be used?

Yes, you can cook with them or just eat them out of the bag. They are really good for baking--I use them in an oatmeal almond bread I make--but I also like them on my oatmeal or as a yogurt topping.

No, just peanuts and other tree nuts.
