Using to suspend game feeders, works good. Only complaint, spring could be stronger to keep lock in place.

No installation instructions were included. You must disassemble parts of the winch to install it. In my opinion, it is not a heavy duty winch. It is not galvanized metal, therefore, I assume it may not hold up in the humid New Orleans climate, but only time will tell. I called their customer service shortly before noon on a Saturday and only got voice mail.

I have a stupidly heavy car cover - it's weighted with a lead berm around the edges to keep it in place in the wind. All that is great but taking the cover off and on my van takes at least two people because it weighs so much. I got this winch and installed it in my carport along with two pulleys and two ropes with heavy duty clamps on the ends. I clamped the outside edges of the car cover and ran the ropes up to the pulleys and on to the winch. Everything worked perfectly and now instead of calling my neighbors every time I want to take the car cover off, I can do it myself with very little effort. This winch is awesome.

So far so good but seems to be getting weaker over time.
