Product doesn't work in the UK!!!
I purchased this item and failed to install it because I needed a more recent version of the Nest thermostat, despite the fact that my thermostat was telling me I had the most up-to-date version.After some research I discovered that there are 2 versions of the software: 1 for the United States, Canada, Mexico, and some other countries, where this sensor is available, and 1 for Europe, which is not compatible with is sensor. This sensor shouldn't be sold in the UK as is cannot be used in with a UK-sold Nest thermostat. Frankly it should be put in the product description.

Miss sold
Sold into the UK as an additional component of the Nest system but only found out afterwards it only works in North America. Why are they selling to the UK market?

This temperature sensor is useless in the EU. It will not work, don't buy it!! When you try to add it at the app, it will ask for a software update that does not exist.

Dont work in the UK
NOt sure why this product is marketed in the UK when the Google support website clearly states they do not work in the UK

According to Google, this is only compatible with thermostats bought in the US, Canada or Mexico!Returning for a refund!!

As other reviews have stated, this device cannot be added to Nest in the United Kingdom. Why it is on sale on Amazon’s UK app and website is a mystery!

This is not compatible with the U.K. nest system but doesn’t state this anywhere on the product listing

Do not buy if in the UK
Like many other reviews do not buy this product if you are in the UK, it will not work and whilst this would be a simple software update, Google seem incapable or unwilling to rectify this.
