Are these lead balls the same size as bb balls? Are they as heavy as well? Or close to it?

Their purpose was th be used a pendulum clock weight. With regard to size, I believe they were slightly smaller in diameter than a bb.

Are these okay for shot gun shells?

I'm not sure of the size/Guage they might be equivalent to.
