This straightener is shared by 3 people in the home, it gets used daily and it has held up for years. It straightens just like the first time we used it, heats quickly, hair stays straight, it has had very minimal hair pulling while straightening. We loved it so much multiple Members of our family now have their own.

I chose the Lucea over the Smooth ID after trying them both because I thought the Smooth ID was too complicated to use in manual mode. I am happy with that choice because for my hair I wanted to be able to manually switch easily between setting and I could not figure out how to do that with the Smooth ID. A few tips I have learned. One is that if it doesn't turn on remember to double click it. And if that doesn't work then unplug it for a few seconds. The other tip is that you have to clean these things. I have not had one before and I noticed that after a few weeks the plates were turning yellow and it looked like the edges were chipping but the reality was that it had burned on gunk from my hair products. A wipe down with a rag damp but not too wet with some white vinegar solution cleaned it right up and it was white again then I repeated with a rag damp in plain water. Now I will do this after every couple of uses to make sure it doesn't get product build up on it. Of course you don't immerse it. Otherwise I think it is great.

I had super short hair for 4 years and growing it out was a struggle. I have frizzy hair, slightly wavy but not in a good way. I’ve got to a short bob length and it’s just been a frizz bomb, full of fly aways.I was this close to chopping it off again. But I ordered pomade, a fly away mascara stick think, a smoothing brush, and this straightener.One usage of this straightener (on medium heat) and I’m in love. It’s all I needed. I used the fly away mascara stick on a couple fly aways, but that was it. I got compliments at work from a few people and that never happens.I’ll update if my opinion changes, but I think this is a great product!

Because it's not mentioned on their packaging or web description, this straightener only gets to 410 degrees. This product claims to straighten hair of all ethnicities, but this is simply not true because it doesn't get that hot hence the misleading advertising. My hair is curly but not coarse and it barely got it straight, and did nothing to the roots. My 10 year old hair straigthener that goes to 450 works like crap now but it works better than this supposedly high end product.

I bought this straightener because I had one years ago and loved how well it straightened my hair so when it went on sale I bought it. . First I know a lot of ppl complained about the buttons but if you read the directions it tells u exactly how to use them. I will probably have to read the instructions again when I use it next because I don’t straighten my hair often because I tend to wear my wavy/ curly natural hair. That said I have used it twice and it worked like a charm! It left my hair feeling silky soft and very straight. As I stated I have curlyish hair and so I used the next to highest setting and it worked perfect. I was able to straighten my hair faster than usual because of how how hot it gets even tho I had to use smaller sections. I did use a couple of products to help but when I went outside it was very humid and my hair did not frizz up like it normally would though it did get slightly bigger but it actually looked better. Lol. I also used it to curl my step daughter’s hair and it it came out great and stayed all night! Definitely worth the investment if you plan to be straightening your own hair.

My chi straightener finally died after years of use and I splurged to get the t3. It heats up so quickly, has many temp settings so you don’t fry your hair, and never snags when running it through.It’s a decent size for home use and travel, it’s not a mini by any means but it’s not too heavy or bulky to pack on trips.The quality is great and I noticed my hair is straighter and less frizzy compared to others and I can have the temperature set to a lower setting with better results.I’m definitely impressed with the brand (I also have the t3 airebrush duo) and will be slowly switching all of my hot tools curling irons to t3 as they die out on me.

The media could not be loaded. I have been looking for a new flat iron for a while. I wanted one that I could control the temperature since I let my hair go naturally gray. I need to watch the amount of heat I’m using. This one has 9 settings. On days I just need to remove some crimps, I can use the lower settings but if I want to curl my hair, I will bump it up a bit. It works with just one pass. That’s a plus in itself as that’s less damage to the hair.So far, very pleased!

I was in the market for a new straightener because I wasn’t happy with my ghd one. This one is GREAT. I have extremely thick and coarse hair, and a lot of it. Now it only takes about 30 minutes to straighten because it’s a bigger iron and I usually only use the halfway full power heat setting and it does just fine. It works great for curling your hair too! I haven’t noticed any damage with this straightener which is great because my hair is color dyed and blonde! Yay!
