RJ45 Crimp Tool Kit Pass Through Ethernet Crimping Tool Kit(Tool Set 201)

Great Ethernet crimper kit. My old pair crapped out on me so I ordered these and they have worked out to be a great pair. Very high quality kit that you can cut, strip and crimp Ethernet cable or telephone wire. I don’t do much telephone wire as a low voltage tech but we do a lot of Ethernet, alarm, thermostat, cameras wiring I do for clients so these have turned out great!! They are made with solid steel and a nonslip grip, so when you press to cut strip or crimp the torque performs effortlessly with such ease. I love that it comes with some replacement blades so I have them when I need to change them out. Also the networking tester is a great tool to have for testing for any wrong connections, short or open circuits. It’s a great quality tool to have if your a low voltage tech or even if you have some know how and do some of your own work at home. Happy with my purchase and would definitely recommend

I have a slowly growing collection of ethernet cables that are unreliable and it seemed likely it was due to the connectors, so I purchased this. Some of the other user videos here were very helpful. After getting the knack with the first cable, I did two more, and they all tested well. Not having to buy 3 new replacement cables already paid for the tool. It feels solid in my hand and when I squeeze it to crimp. I would do one end, then test the cable to see that the first new connection was good, and then do the other end. That way, if it tested bad, I could be certain which end was the problem. I'm sure I'll have use for it again down the road. People who do this kind of thing for a living would probably opt for more expensive tools, but for my use case it's a very good value.

I have done about 10 CAT6 Ethernet plugs with this. Every one of them has worked first try Clamping tool is very good. Stripper seems cheap when you get it but it works amazingly well. Tester is absolute junk, never worked. Still I would recommend this tool.

I have used this crimping tool and accessories to make up a number of Cat5 cables for our home network. This set is much better than the one I originally purchased many years ago. The included tester gives confidence that the cable is correct and working. Highly recommended.

Kit works very well. I was hesitant to make my own cables. I thought it would be way more difficult, but gave it a try with this kit. I was pleasantly suprised when I was successful right away. As long as you get the twisted pairs nice and flat, they slide right into the terminator and stay in the correct order. I also really liked the two standards for the wire orders printed directly on the tool. I did use this reference often to double check the wire order. The crimp works perfectly and trims the wires to the terminator at the same time. I recommend this tool and encourage anyone to try making their own cables. You will save lots of money by buying bulk spools and more importantly get exact distance runs and flexibility to change cable lengths when ever you need.

TL:DR - Buy a KLEIN for $45. Used this to install my POE security system and kept chasing gremlins - Dropped signals. Finally a friend who owns a tech company came over with his kit and recrimped all my connections. BINGO - not a dropped signal yet and it's been 8 months. Fast forward to last month when I installed another security system at another of my properties and had the same problems. I called my friend and asked what he uses. I expected a $200 professional tool - $45 Klein. Bought one at local store and it has worked PERFECTLY!! Don't waste your time.

In my case, the network wires in my house weren’t terminated, so this kit made it easy to get the job done. Once I crimped the tips on—BAM—we were surfing the net in no time! Pro tip: To straighten the wires before inserting them into the connector, line them up evenly and trim them at the point where they start to twist. This helps them slide straight into the connector’s lanes without a fight.
