I read all the reviews about the wires being tangled, and needed to be Gail force winds before it would take off, but purchased anyway. I had no problems with tangled strings, and went out in very minimal wind (slight breeze) and it took of straight away. Hours of fun, until it landed in the river. But was soon dried and flying again. Would highly recommend for the low price of £19.99. Does what you want.

Bought this for our holidays. Limited instructions were confusing. On the kite the strings go through 2 small pieces of folded material at the top. I think you were meant to take the string out of it as we had to cut it. Once we did this the strings spread and the kite filled out. Then the kite flew amazingly well. We were on a beach and there was a good wind. It twisted and turned well and kept us amused for ages. The straps were perfect for controlling it. This is not for a small child as chances are it would lift them off their feet. If suggest 14/15 upward. I gave it 4/5 because of the poor instructions but flying it was 5/5

Kite does not come ready to fly, and does not include instructions on how to set it up (there's about 20 pieces of string without any obvious connection).I made the mistake of waiting for a windy day, then opened it to fly, only to find an absolute jumble of string with no clue what goes where.Item also came with delivery company marker pen scrawled over the bag - which didn't bother me, but made giving this as a gift completely unsuitable.The one enclosed leaflet there was, only mentions "refining control" in poorly translated English - as if it's all ready to go and you might just like to tweak it.I absolutely do not recommend this product, unless you are already a seasoned pro who knows how to put together a kite with 20+ seperate pieces of string without instructions.As such ease of use 1/5Assembly 1/5Flight Performance - N/A (unable to cobble it together).Had the manufacturer included instructions how to put the kite together, I would have kept it - as such will now return.

Well worth the money. Managed to get it flying on the second attempt and it was great. I recommend. I thought these would be better as the have no plastic supports that would break on impact.We also got this flying well in light wind too.

Positives: Great fun to fly, managed to get it taking off in fairly light winds too. It has a lot of power. Easy learning curve.Neutrals: Instructions for set-up and larks head knots to attach the strings and toggles are pretty easy to follow but can see where some reviewers might have struggled with this. Don't know if it's for storage purposes but the bridle attachments aren't meant to be passed through the little fabric loops on the tail edge of the kite- make sure to take them out before attaching the kite strings or the kite will not fly. If you use larks head knots as suggested it's a fairly easy adjustment if you forget to do this.Negatives:Out of the box, the strings aren't even length. Given the size of the kite this isn't an easy fix, requiring the open space to stake everything out with a weight on the kite to get the lines at full stretch before adjusting. It'll fly uneven but it's harder to control with uneven lines

Flew this for the first time today in moderate wind, took half hour or so to get the lines untangled and connected for the first time but once it was up it was great fun and I taught three other people how to fly it ages 11-38. Definitely would recommend for moderate wind and slightly advanced flyers as the pull is a lot. Good fun, looks great in the air

Instructions for setting up are very basic and not so easy to understand. Ended up using a YouTube video instead. Once in the air was great fun and the kids really enjoyed flying it. Great value for money though.

Great kite in stronger winds, the kite performs really well in the consistent 10-15km/h winds, I've tried flying it in gentle winds( 5-10km/h) but it stalls. The strings are poor, they snapped repetedly on the first flight, and I had to replace them, with better strings it flies fantasticly
