Great for travel or urban sketching, Mike-drop value
I bought the set of Artiro watercolor brush markers because I was really impressed with the Faber Castell aqua Faber watercolor brushes but I needed more colors but didn’t want to spend much. The aquafaber Tuscany set includes beautiful earth colors, but it didn’t have a single yellow. I also needed some beautiful bright floral colors like the tangerine and the raspberry as well as a turquoise cerulean blue m. Even ChatGPT recommended this set to round out my palette so not only can I paint Tuscany but I can paint Greece and France and anywhere really including urban scenes, and I’m very pleased with the combination as you can see from my swatch of both of the colors I can create almost anything now. And I saved so much money as 12 individual Goldfabers costs far more than this set of 12. No sense overspending on monarchival materials. I also like how the Artisto markers Blend just like the golfers. you can blend them tip to tip or you can put them on a watercolor palette for example, the tombow marker palette to blend colors, but best of all you can touch a watercolor marker to your water brush to you can make a wash, which is a really neat feature for skies. I’ve experimented with them a number of ways. One thing I would recommend is that you wet your paper first before touching the marker to it, unless you’re drawing like an outline, and then you wanna go over with water next to soften it up or touch it to your water rush to add a wash. And you’ll still retain the original line if you put it on dry watercolor paper first, which might be exactly what you want if you put it down dry and ask it to blend out later it’s not gonna do it not even on the snowman and burn Zeta sketchbook so you need to be aware that you need to use them for the way that they work, which is use them dry for outlines and you can also brush into the wet areas to have things fade out just like you would with regular watercolor. I’m really pleased with these cuties. I’ve set them all up to work together in zannaki big sketch bag, in the turquoise colored one with one marker leaf, and you can see my review on that on how they all fit together in there in the leaf. I’ve included this swatch in that review as well as below. I’ll be using this in an A5 hahnemuhle watercolor sketchbook. Some French reviewer said that they tips are coarse with no details. You can see from the strokes I got that that is not true. Even the water brush is a nice quality brush. And the price is stunning, considering it’s the price of only three aqua Faber watercolor markers. A note about the fineliner, it’s a winner. Wait ten minutes before inking or use it dry. If you write in wet spot it may seem like it’s ruined. Chat gtp told me how to fix that, soak in water for 10 seconds, recap and tap tip down in a counter a few times and it should start working again. A neat feature of these markers is that they have a real brush tip not a finer tip like the aquafaber. This allows you to get very textured strokes if you use the brush sideways good for rustic barns and the like, you need watercolor paper cold press for this effect. Don’t use card stock like another reviewer did. That is not the right paper for watercolor markers. Even the swatch paper that comes with it has a hot press texture. The color Cobalt is actually a beautiful Ultamarine violet. The color amethyst is a red violet. The Emerald is a deep forest green like viridian but with a touch of brown which I love. The onyx makes nice gray washes. If you want to make gray mixers don’t do those tip to tip to keep your markers clear, mix those in a marker palette. I love the Scarlett which is a transparent red oxide very nice for leaf veins wet on wet.

So perfect for a beginner.
Work great and are really easy to use. They last under regular use and are fun to use. Great cost especially for beginners. The colors are pretty which is also a bonus.

Perfect watercolor brush pens for my coloring book!
I used these watercolor brush pens for a coloring book meant for watercolor, to help me wind down in the evenings instead of doom scrolling. Pros • Vibrant These pens are so vibrant and allow you to add plenty of water or leave them as is! •Great color options There is a great array of colors to choose from that blend seamlessly with each other! •Cute extras The kit comes with little postcards to color in and a swatch paper so you can have fun swatching them yourself! Cons •Ink flow If they touch water they tend to suck it up and loose pigment instead of adding pigment to the water. I definitely recommend these for anyone who wants to learn watercolor or just have fun drawing! They are very easy to use and look great on paper!

Beautiful, with a slight problem.
The overall colours I *got* are beautiful. I mean, it's not the *colours advertised*, but all the same. I can't review on the actual shades presented, but. They *are* high quality and far better than a lot of others that claim to be brush pens, but are more akin to felt, not nylon brushes like these. I'd be willing to take another shot at purchasing, given the advertised pallete would be far better suited for doing portraits. As a note, 49 burst open and the ink bled out, hence the low tone. And am not sure what happened to 25. But the point being, they're wonderful. Just not at all what I had specifically bought ^^;

Meh. Not my favorite
Middle of the road. There are better brands but this one is a good starting place with lots of colors. They don’t blend well though which is frustrating.

Stunning watercolours
Just the most beautiful markers I tried for my adult colouring book ✨ I also bought ohuhu markers but wish I didn’t bother with them as this watercolour set is everything I wanted. Bright and pigmented, gorgeous tones and can be watered down with clear water pens included for a softer look. Id say they are on a pricier side but they are lovely and hope they’ll last 💕 I tried to take a good photo but I think with the phone and lighting they can’t show exactly the same … definitely recommend these if you like watercolours
