Very poor quality parts; don't fit with each; instructions are not complete; waste of money

Got this for my 13 year old son for Valentine's Day. One piece, E2, broke while putting the robot together. Unfortunately this piece is used on every version of the 12 robots to build, so my son can't build anything. Otherwise, it seems fun and he was excited about the solar power. Hoping the seller can help replace that one part? UPDATE: Customer service was amazing! They first offered to replace the part, but when the part was discovered to be unavailable they replaced the entire item. Can't say enough about how much this is appreciated. Would definitely recommend.

We ordered this for a 7th grade science assignment. The educational level was fitting and valuable for my daughter. Majority of the pieces (which are plastic) have to be cut out, but the kit supplied the tool needed to do this. For the most part, the instructions were easy to follow and the pictures included in the instructions were most helpful. With so many parts, it takes time and patience. I did have to help my daughter at the end because the robot was not functioning properly. I’m not sure if it was user error or not. We charged the solar piece and the robot did not work. I then used a AA battery and manually touched the negative and positive wires to the battery & there was movement of the robot. So I think my daughter assembled it correctly but that maybe there was something faulty with the solar panel. The robot is not made to use a AA battery, so it isn’t something to use in place of, but a way that I checked it the circuit was faulty or not. I did not contact customer service since it was for a school project. Overall, I found that it was a decent size, and for a great price, it was a great educational experience.
