Great tie downs
Replacement set after 5 years, for two pairs on my work truck, the grey plastic handle covers only last a year and the metal handles aren’t great to look at, but still better then other options for a sturdy quick tie down

I just purchased four more units.I purchased this product about 15 years ago installed on my letter rack on top of my box truck.They make tying down my ladders a lot easier and I feel they're always safe don't have to worry about did I tie them down right, just hook the end and crank it tightBut this week one of them broke while I was cranking it down.But that's impressive that my truck is parked out in the sun and elements and that strap lasted a good 15 years

Strong straps!
These are great!I did modify mine a little where the hook hooks back into the bracket because it was too close to the roof of my van.I was afraid these wouldn't be strong enough to hold lumber but i can tell they will be plenty strong.The strap material feels like seat belt material so I'm unsure how long they will last but I'd guess a very long time depending on what your ratcheting down.These are way better than the rack straps you use the little bar to tighten.
