Perfect. I use it in the bathroom, for timing my mouthwash.

Useful for the purpose we need, but not accurate, running at 1 hour 4 minutes.

This is a great visual aid for my homeschool kid. She has alarms to switch subjects but often will watch the clock. This one hour sand timer is a great way to get her to stop looking at her phone clock and just a quick glance lets her know how much time is left. This timer clocked out at one hour correctly. Large enough to hold in my hand but not so large it takes up a ton of shelf space. Letting her turn it over each hour for the next subject also lets her feel more in control of something during her school day, and allows for a mental reset for the next subject.

I like it. Just a simple hour glass. I like that it has double walls, since my daughter dropped it a few times, but no damage. I actually never checked if it’s actually 5 minutes, but I also don’t use for anything where time is of the essence

This 60-minute sand timer looks great and works well overall, especially for helping kids understand the concept of time. I tested it several times, and it consistently finished in about 59 minutes and a few seconds, which is close enough for me - so don’t expect mechanical-clock precision. Mine did had a very thin layer of sand cling to the sides during the first few uses, although causing no hesitation in the flow it was noticeable. That issue cleared up after a few runs and now it flows smoothly. For encouraging kids to stay on task o as a simple decorative piece this is a nice purchase.
