I spent way too much time looking for the best slow cooker for my needs! I'll spare you all the details and hit you with the pertinent details. Settled on this little gem because it can be run from a 12v. cigarette lighter or 120v. house current, therefore, very portale. You can cook raw foods or just warm stuff up as advertised. And the footprint is good for me in that it can be tucked away nicely when not in use... The shipping and packaging was perfect! Had to go to the store and get a cooking bowl as it doesn't come with one. Initially was a tad skeptical as it looks and feels like a glorified lunch bag, (soft shell with a hot plate in it, but for $30 bucks, I'll take a shot at it), as you can see from the first couple picts. The zipper somewhat hung as seen in pict 4, but thought it may work it self right. Now the good part... Placed a NY Strip in the bowl that I vacuumed sealed earlier in the day, the temp registered 32 degrees, seasoned it, snapped the lid on the bowl, zipped it up and plugged it in... Waited anxiously for the next 2.5 hrs. Notable was the "lack" of smell. While I like the smell of onions grilling and steak sizzling, the thought of not smelling much of anything told me I may be able to do fish in it without stinking up the place. Pulled the steak out and gave it a quick temp check, 156 degrees, a little higher than I would have liked but for my first attempt with the new gadget, I'm not complaining, but the real test... YUM! As close to a perfect medium rare as you can get without ANY fuss and minimal clean up! I'm not one to give an instant review, and this is only my first meal with it, but I'll tell you what... For a no fuss, easy clean up meal maker, set it an forget it type thing, this thing is perfect! Eat right from the bowl then throw the leftovers in the fridge for later, (I'm a single guy, I can get away with that). So far, this has proven to be everything they advertised! I'll be pulling some pork out of the thing in a few min... Just checked the pork, needs at least another hour. But then the pork tenderloin is 2x as thick as the NY Strip was. Anyhow, hope this helps. If anything changes I'll follow up in the review. But as is, it's a winner! -Mike

I wanted to have hot meals at work. I work in construction as an electrician. We do not have an area to take breaks nor eat lunch. Therefore, there are no microwaves and we eat our lunches either inside a dirty construction area or inside our vehicles. So e of the guys go to fast food places to eat. I’m cheap! I like to prep my lunches for the week and eat them when time. I’ve been wanting to start enjoying nice hot meals for lunch at work without going to any fast food place and paying $20.00 for a simple burger, fries, and a drink. I knew that Amazon had almost anything people need in life, so I found this! I was worried rather if it will be safe or not. I didn’t want to call the fire department and go through the head and loss of my burnt down vehicle. I tested this out being present in my vehicle. The warming plate does get hot but not super hot! It will not give you a 2nd degree burn if you touch it wild it’s at full peak of heat! Now to see how fast it will heat my food from being frozen. I went on my 15 minute break at 9:30am. I then had this in the back of my vehicle. I had my frozen food in a regular cheap plastic container and put it inside the heater and plugged it inside my 12v outlet. By the time I returned to my vehicle at lunch time (12:00 noon), my food was a little warm out but much. Also, my container was not damaged nor melted at all. So the next morning, I decided to put my food in the same type of container and frozen inside the heater as soon as I got into my vehicle about 6:00am. It takes me about 15 minutes to get to my site. I leave it alone until lunch time (12:00 noon). My food was actually warmer than before! It wasn’t warm to where I had to let it cool down either! I can eat it right away! Now I put my food inside this heater right before I drive off to work each morning and enjoy a nice hot meal at lunch! Great invest!

With the spread of COVID-19, I try to minimize my time in shared office spaces. I purchased this portable oven to warm up left overs and to my surprise the instructions said I could cook in it also. I have tried the oven both ways. I put refrigerated left overs in at 10 am and lunch was hot and delicious around 12. It did a wonderful job warming so now I wanted to see if it could cook. I put some broth and uncooked noodles in a plastic container at 8am and at 11:30 am I had delicious ramen (see picture). I am in love with this oven. Can’t wait to try other technique options. How I use it: 1. Place oven in safe space (I place it on my desk top); 2. Place food in sealed container; 3. Place sealed container on heating plate inside heating bag; 4. Zip up heating bag; 5. Plug in the heating bag; 6. Let it heat or cook; and 7. Enjoy. **Make sure to read instructions on how to properly use oven before enjoying this great, wonderful, portable oven.

I bought this product after transitioning to mobile living. I travel and work out of my car and needed something to cook/heat meals. At first, I was ecstatic with it. It comes with a 12/24V cord that connects to the lighter outlet, or you can use the cord that connects directly to an outlet. I was surprised with its ability to fully cook raw steak. It would take about 6-8 hours of cooking, so I would rather use it for microwave meals that don’t take as long to cook, such as Dinty Moore or Maria Callendar meals. A completely frozen entree would be cooked in about 2-3 hours, finishing hot and ready as if it came out of the oven. Meat I would cook in a glass tubware, but for prepared meals I would line the lunch box with tinfoil to ensure moisture/fluids didn’t leak onto the heating component. I fell in love with its ease of use, ability to store, and functionality. However, I was extremely disappointed with its lifespan. I got about a month of use out of it, and one day it stopped working. The 12V wire isn’t made of the greatest quality, I’m thinking it may have developed a short in the wire. Initially, I would have given it 5 stars for the product functionality, but it received 4 for its incredibly short life expectancy.

My husband had his 1st one for about 5 years before the bag got really worn out. The heating portion was still fine. I ordered a new one for Christmas. He takes this Monday-Friday for work lunch. I highly recommend this as a way not only to use up leftovers but also to save money! I freezer our leftovers in the reusable trays and he takes one for work, plugs in his bag and by lunch time has a hot meal! This also is great for traveling as it can be plugged into newer vehicles via the regular plug in or in older vehicles through the cigarette lighter port.

UPDATE! I bought this in October and by January it fell apart and doesn't work at all anymore. I wish I knew about this before now. I drive a truck and had to eat sandwiches all the time but now I eat hot meals every day. I put my lunch in about 2 hours with frozen stuff and about an hour with non frozen. I use glass containers. It says you can use plastic but I'm not going to try that. It's like a hot plate in a cooler. It's very small but has a big bang. T.V. dinners for in it perfectly. Comes with 2 plugs, one for home use and one for car use. Love this thing!.

It is so nice to be able to have a hot meal! The facility I work at is kosher and the microwave and kitchen/cafe are all far away! I’m a busy nurse, going to school full time, spending $15 on meals all the time isn’t feasible! It’s so nice to not have to eat my food cold or bring things I can eat cold. I’ve even brought in frozen stuffed shells with sauce & shredded cheese on top, spinach in a smaller container with it and it came out so yummy! I had olive oil and garlic powder on my spinach it was like it was sautéed. I love it, I hope it keeps working!! My coworkers are checking it out lol, some also have their own portable ovens!

Sooooo happy I made this purchase!! Such a convenient and extremely useful item to have. I made one the best steaks I have ever consumed in this Lil beauty!! Booked a suite with no kitchen, brought this Lil baby along and 2hrs later OMG!! Buy it!!
