Delivery is messy, daily use doesn't have to be
I have used this with my 15 year old cat for almost a year now. I first got it from the vet and paid about 6 more dollars for it than I paid here on Amazon. My cat has a dose every other day to help with a few things and it makes her feel much better. I pour it right in her mouth and she does well with it since it's such a small amount. The directions say to dispense into little serving scoop with the bottle upside down. That part is how you avoid a dripping mess. I do it over the sink and turn it upside down and have very little issue. I also store the bottle and scoop in the box it came in and that helps if I do occasionally have a drip here or there. This works well so don't let the mess talk keep you from ordering it for your cat.

Awesome
My vet recommended this for cats dandruff. I give to all my cats and their coats are so soft and shiny. No more dandruff and scratching! I mix with wet food since they won’t take it without it

Great product for cat skin, terrible way to administer!
The media could not be loaded. Welactin is a great product for a cat's skin coat. My cat had flaky, dandruff like skin and the vet recommended Welactin. She seems to tolerate it well and I have not seen any flaky skin since she started taking the Welactin. My only negative, which I saw others complain about as well, is the included scoop that they give you to measure out the supplement. Because Welactin is an omega-3 fish oil, it is greasy to begin with, but if you use the scoop provided, you will lose additional product when you pour it into the scoop, because it dribbles. I used it one time, and that was to use it to measure out exactly how much was needed. I hated the wasted supplement. If you have a syringe, like ones you use to give liquid medicine to younger children, that is what you should use to measure out the Welactin. They are available at any pharmacy and you may even have a spare at home. All you need is 1 milliliter of Welactin. So, dump the scoop and use the syringe instead. Welactin, please swap out the scoop for a syringe!

Perfect for my cat's needs, bottle needs work.
My elderly cat was recently put on a fish oil supplement to help her kidneys, as well as her fur and skin. We went with Welactin on our vet's recommendation, but it was becoming a bit of a process to deal with the leaky bottle and 1/4 tsp spoon every night and then trying to clean up the fishy smelling drips, so I wanted to find an alternate method of dispensing it. I read somewhere that standard soap dispensers tend to dispense 1/4 tsp per pump, so I ordered some to try... perfect! The Welactin needs to be protected from light so I covered one of the bottles with fabric using mod podge. Now I just need to squeeze one pump into her treat each evening, with no need for cleanup! If the Welactin came with that type of easy dispensing pump, it would be amazing!

THIS IS VEGETABLE OIL
The first bottle or two we got was great! It was slightly orange in color and smelled fishy - SOMEWHERE it went wrong. I noticed one or two bottles ago it was a different color and didn’t have that fishy smell! I thought maybe it’s just the batch but wait, it smells like vegetable oil. Our cats stopped finishing their meals and started going to each others bowls trying to look for food. We switched to native pet and our cats for the first time in two weeks have completely finished their food! KEEP THE MEASURE SCOOP AND SWITCH TO NATIVE PET if you notice a change in formula. I smelled the bottle the welactin was in and the vegetable oil on our fridge and there was no difference. Vegetable oil in small amounts like the doses we gave aren’t going to kill them, but it took all the appetite and settled stomachs out of our cats, especially since it’s supposed to be an omega 3 oil and there was a NOTABLE difference in formulation at some point. Please just do what’s best for your animal, but also note these topics listed are indeed problems. Will not be repurchasing.

I have 4 cats
The Vet suggested this for one of my cats that has very dry skin. Because they eat out of each other’s bowls, all of them are getting it. Not sure if it’s going to help. Too soon to know.

Cat health
Good product. Bit messy when dispensing, so will have smelly hand - but it is salmon oil, so that’s ok. My cat loves it over her wet food.

Improvement in Cat's Health Notable
My feedback is really positive because this product has catered so well to my cat's needs. The Omega-3 supplement is a fantastic addition to a cat's diet. It supports skin and coat health - I've noticed a significant difference in her coat - much smoother and silkier. The fact that it also supports kidney health is a bonus. Plus, it's veterinarian recommended, which gives me a peace of mind. All in all, I'm thrilled with this purchase.
