Russell Athletic Men's Short Sleeve Performance T-Shirt

I’ve been wearing this Russell Athletic Men's Short Sleeve Performance T-Shirt for a while now, mostly during workouts, gym sessions, and routine weekend errands. It has quickly become one of my favorite go-to shirts because of its comfort, stretch, and consistent fit. Pros: Spot-On Sizing & Athletic Fit: The sizing is completely true to size. It offers an athletic cut with ample room through the shoulders and chest, without feeling baggy or oversized at the waist. Moisture-Wicking & Breathable: The lightweight technical fabric effectively draws sweat away from the skin, keeping you cool and comfortable during high-intensity workouts or hot weather. Soft & Lightweight Material: Soft against the skin and light on the shoulders, avoiding the stiff or scratchy feel that some synthetic gym shirts can have. Holds Shape Well: Holds up well through multiple wash and dry cycles without shrinking, stretching at the collar, or fading. Cons: Synthetic Fabric Sensitivity: Because it is a performance polyester blend designed for moisture management, it requires proper washing (avoiding fabric softeners) to keep the fabric performing at its best over time. This shirt excels during heavy workouts and casual wear around the house. Whether you're running on the treadmill, lifting weights, or wearing it under a light hoodie, the shoulder seams stay comfortable and don't chafe or pull when you move. Accurate sizing means you can order your usual size with confidence that it will fit perfectly right out of the package.

Real soft polyester made well good color

Nice color and true to size. However, there is a small company logo on a sewn in tag on the lower right front of the shirt. I prefer not to have that sort of thing so that I’m not a walking advertisement for a company. That was not shown on the images so it was a disappointment.

As someone who works up a sweat quite often and also loves comfy clothes, these shirts are amazing, especially for the price. (They're often on sale for <$10.) The material is silky and soft, they're light and airy, and they're perfect for both working out and just general lounging. I bought my first one back in 2020 when I was furloughed from COVID, and I've bought about a dozen more since then, usually grabbing one every time they go on sale. They're just so handy to have and are perfect to grab if I want something comfy. As for sizing? I find they run a teeny-bit small in my opinion. I usually wear 3X shirts, and can even squeeze into a 2X, but I always get these in a 4X. That seems to be the best size for me. (Oh, and I still have my original one from 2020, and even after probably hundreds of wears and washes, it looks indistinguishable and is almost as soft as the newer ones.)

very nice shirt, true to size, love it

Ordered 3 shirt. 2 out of 3 was 100% polyester, what I ordered. The 3rd shirt was made of 80% cotton and have to be returned due to cotton allergy. If they fulfilled all with 100% polyester which I ordered. I would give it a 5 stars.

I love these shirts! They fit really well, feel comfortable, and are great for workouts or casual wear. The material is lightweight, breathable, and dries quickly—perfect for staying cool. Best part? The price is fantastic compared to Under Armour, making this a great alternative without sacrificing quality. Highly recommend if you want performance and value in one shirt!

Great item and lite material

I have usually been happy with Russell garments . But not this time . Threads on seems have started to unravel and the fabric is very unusual . Not comfortable . Not very often I am dissatisfied with an Amazon purchase .

These are great exercise shirts, wicking away water. The fit is finally great in 3XL which is very hard to find. I have trouble finding my size in shirts and use these doing weights and arobic exercise! No more exercise shirts whick are too tight, these ones fit as advertyised!

Russell Athletic Men's Short Sleeve Performance T-Shirt, Stealth, Large It’s a nice shirt and is actually active-dry — a feature surprisingly absent in its description. The pros: • The fabric is good (thicker than other brands) and moisture-wicking (see the attached label-photo) • Well stitched • Very presentable and well looking • Sizing. I’m 5-10 weighing 160 lbs. and went for the L-size and it fits me fine. It fits perfectly at the chest but runs a shade longer (maybe about 2 inches) than the similar ones offered by other brands. The Cons: I am however not so pleased with its discharging static. I have similar 100% polyester active-dry shirts from other brands and none produces any static. Let me hasten to clarify that it’s not excessive but exists. I wasn’t expecting this and will hence take off a star there. In conclusion, a well-made active-dry shirt rightly priced. Review edited and upgraded on 8 Nov 18. My earlier observation of an existing static didn't turn out to be so true over a period of six months that I wore these. I've found these to be very comfortable, purchased two more, and upgraded to 5-stars.
