RefluxRaft Acid Reflux Alginate Therapy, Lemon Ginger, 10 oz Tube, 1 Pack

So far so good. This Was refered also by my ENT on my last visit with him to wheen me off of my daily use of Nexium and Pepsid and Tums that he had prescribed me for the Gerd that was causing morning postnasal drip , persistant cough and lyrangitis as others on this review site have also suffered from. This product was also deveoped by ENT Drs as a safer, longterm treatment and remedy for Gerd and the damage it can cause. But, To be honest I was also skeptical about consuming this product after reading some negative reviews ( and swallowing slimmy/fishy(?)tasting salty kelp ) but this is NOTHING like that At All !!!! I actually enjoy the taste and texture which soothes my throat on the way down and gives instant relief of ALL my Gerd symptoms in only a few days, and without the longterm use warnings of all the OTC ( over-the-counter and prescription ) heartburn products. I now take it during the day also, esp after eating spicy foods which I enjoy so much, things like onions, shredded onions, chilly, green peppers, in moderation of course, in addition to taking it before going to bed and only after taking all my evening herbs and meds first. I Noticed positive results after only a few days and so now ordering a second tube after only 2 weeks so I dont run out. I Normally dont leave reviews but dont want this product to fail from being purchased and tried by others because of a few negative reviews. I Almost suspect they might even be from some of the benefitors of the unhealthy but lucrative $$$, quick fix products and anacids readilly available EVERYWHERE, Who knows??? On another positive note, since stopping late night snacking as also suggested by my ENT, I’m actually dropping a couple of pounds a week as a HEALTHY sideaffect and returning to my normal weight, and feel more energetic causing me to be more active which naturally would contribute that result also I guess? Lastly, instead of dreading having to take or try this suppliment, I actually look forward to taking it almost as a treat after a great meal of all the foods I can now enjoy again, In Moderation of course, But that’s just me and my experience with this product, Hopefully you have similar results, For Afterall, It was ‘Drs. Orders’ for me, And I’m liking it ‘Alot!’ and hope you do also. ENJOY! P.S. My wife now after seeing my results from using this product, and who also suffers from frequent heartburn ( we are both in our late 60’s BTW ) wants to try using it as a more healthy and safer remedy also. Works great! I Take at night before bed to get me through till morning PPI dose. It stops the midnight acid break through between the daily two dose of PPI med for my silent reflux symptoms. Not a fan of the taste of ginger and lemon, It’s subtle and the gel slides right gown my throat without issue. Do NOT drink or eat anything after taking the dose or you will dissolve the acid barrier of the gel in your stomach and the acid will return. Great product and highly recommend!

I bought in a hurry to replace my Omeprazole , and realized that Liferaft has calcium carbonate in it, which a lot of folks with digestive issues need to limit due to the risk of hypercalcemia. My stupid pancreas — sorry, little guy — stopped making its own enzymes at some point, and one of the things I have to limit is calcium. So I can only take this twice a day, which is probably a good thing bc I’m in danger of eating it all up at once. It’s tasty, ya’ll. It also contains Licorice Root, which interacts with multiple medications— which is unfortunate because it works for tummy issues. It’s difficult to squeeze out of the tube thingy so I keep it upside down in a jar and scoop it out with a tiny spoon. Not arthritis friendly but ways to work around it. Finally, if I didn’t have to avoid Licorice Root, I’d use this much more. The calcium carbonate is necessary for the raft to form, I think, but the licorice root is just an extra for soothing the tum tum. LifeRaft should create a line of products without it, because it really does interact badly with many, many medications unfortunately. The other fancy reflux product on here (reflux gourmet?) looks amazing but contains grapefruit extract, which is an even more well known medication interaction risk, so over the two I’ll pick the licorice and calcium carbonate because I live dangerously. I’m looking at needing a pure alginate product with no bells and whistles. Will keep updating. Fun! PS It’s low in sodium and sugar too. … probably gonna have some right now!

Several issues. 1 - the packaging. The first time I used this, the seal on the top (the part that is crimped shut) popped open and the goo started coming out there. So basically unusable, since it's not sealed properly. 2 - the taste is... odd. It's not terrible, but it's not very good either. 3 - I did end up using it a few times until I got nervous about the package not being sealed and I saw no change in symptoms. I was able to get a refund for the defective packaging so I guess that's good.

This product has been a game changer for me! I have LPR and I cough every night, until now. I chose ginger flavor (which I happen to love) it is a slightly odd texture, however it does not taste bad at all. I highly recommend trying it for yourself.

This product has reduced my reflux symptoms of burning in the throat when taken before bedtime. It was easy to use. and the lemon ginger flavor was tasty. A heads up...the color and consistency of yellow-green slightly resembles coughed up or secretions from blowing your nose with a sinus infection. (I am very sensitive to this) but I simply focused on the good it was going to do instead of looking at it. I would imagine it is necessary to act as a coating to the damaged esophagus and/or to protect it and help it heal. The benefit definitely outweighs the appearance and coats the throat and reduces or eliminates burning. I will ne purchasing this product again.

Helps some but not my favorite. I don't like the taste. The texture is a little thinner than another alginate product I use maybe that's why it doesn't work as well. I will use the rest but it's not for me.

It really seems to be working at relieving my silent acid reflux. I take one teaspoon before bed and after a rich or heavy meal. Since I started using the RefluxRaft I have NONE of the symptoms of acid reflux.
