Secure Sensitive Denture Adhesive Cream, Zinc Free Denture Glue, 1.4 oz

This adhesive works wonderful. I am a new denture wearer and was struggling with the moving all the time. I did my research on this type of product. I was told by some that the Fixodent's and Poligrip's were horrible. Plus, I have a very sensitive mouth. I found this one and liked what people were saying. The only thing that made me nervous was the the alcohol. The directions were easily followed, and they did say that you could wait a few minutes to let the alcohol dissipate before putting them in, that is what I do. I use the sensitive one and if I wait the few minutes, I don't get any burn at all. If I don't wait, I get I sometimes get a very tiny tingly feeling. It doesn't burn or hurt, and it goes away quickly. I do have a hard time figuring out the correct amount to use. Some days I get it right some days not. No matter if I put too little or too much, they always stay in place, it only affects the length of time they don't move and how much. The other thing as well is if you aren't leaving your dentures in a good 10-12 hrs, you will have goop left on your gums. You may have some anyways, but more if you don't leave them in long enough. In the directions it does say you can use vegetable oil to get it off. I have done this and it works great. I put it on a piece of paper towel and gently rub where it is and it comes off easily. All in all this glue is easy to use, easy to get off and works really great. It is also good for sensitive mouths. I definitely recommend this.

So much better than other products. Minimal tingling which resolved when I let the product air out after spreading on my denture. Taste is acceptable. If you don’t let it air for a few minutes there is a very minor “pool float” scent. The only thing that holds my temporary lower dentures. They can now handle light chewing and they stay with normal talking and sipping. Heavy chewing meals will still dislodge the lowers. Small amount on uppers stay great for me. This will build up on your dentures though, which can only be removed with the secure denture tabs. I used the adhesive x 2 weeks and had a buildup despite scrubbing, soaking and scraping. One use of denture tab removed it all. No impact with adhesive or cleaner on my 4 month old soft liner. Worth it.

I’ve tried damn near every denture adhesive out there, and Secure Sensitive is one of the only ones that actually works for me. It holds just as well as the regular Secure, but the big difference is it doesn’t sting or burn when you put it on. It says 12‑hour hold, and for me that depends — if I don’t eat anything, it lasts a lot longer, and there are certain foods I can eat where everything stays put. But sometimes the thing I think will be the safest ends up being the thing that makes them pop loose. Even with that, this is still one of the most reliable adhesives I’ve found, and the comfort makes it even better. It’s absolutely worth the money, and I keep buying it because nothing else works like this.

I BET YOUR JUST LIKE ME, YOU HAVE 10+ TUBES OF POLYGRIP SEABOND FIXODENT, AND YOU HAVE TEN THOUSAND DIFFERENT POLYGRIP PRODUCTS WHICH NON WORK LIKE THIS SECURE BRAND. I THINK POLYGRIP CHANGES THIER BOXES AND LIES EACH MONTH SO YOU SAY WELL MAYBE THIS EXTRA STRENGTH NEW ZINC FREE CRAP WILL WORK, AND YET IT NEVER DOES. I STRONGLY RECOMMEND BUY THIS SECURE PRODUCT, AND SETTING UP A AMAZON SUBSCRIPTION LIKE I HAVE, TWO TUBES EACH MONTH. THROW ALL THE OTHER POLYGRIP AND FIXODENT CRAP OUT WITH YOUR TRASH, AND STICK TO SOMETHING THAT WORKS. I DO NOT WORK FOR THIS COMPANY. EITHER WAY IF YOUR DENTURES OR PARTIALS ARE CLOSE TO DRY, APPLY AND PUT THEM IN AND YOUR BE SATISFIED FOR THE FIRST TIME IN A LONG TIME. THEY MAKE TWO DIFFERENT VERSIONS OF THIS. SENSITIVE AND NON SENSITIVE. I USE THE SENSITIVE, EXCELLENT PRODUCT. THIS ORIGINALLY CAME OUT IN EUROPE AND WAS CALLED NATURDENT, I WAS PAYING 20 BUCKS A TUBE FOR IT. GREAT STUFF, I DON'T MIND PAYING FOR A PRODUCT THAT ACTUALLY WORKS. THEN THEY MADE A US FORMULA CALLED SECURE, IS IT THE SAME? PRETTY MUCH. THE NATURDENT HAS A STRONGER CHEMICAL TASTE WHEN YOU APPLY IT. HONESTLY IT WORKED A LITTLE BETTER, BUT SECURE IS MADE FROM THE SAME FACTORY. EITHER WAY SECURE WORKS 150% BETTER THAN POLYGRIP AND ALL THE OTHER AMERICAN CRAP, I CANT WAIT TILL THE MAKERS OF POLYGRIP GET OLD AND HAVE TO USE A PRODUCT TO EAT OR GO IN PUBLIC WITH. AND THEY BUY SECURE BECAUSE IT REALLY WORKS. I WILL NOTE, THAT SOMETIMES I HAVE TO RE APPLY SECURE MORE THEN ONE TIME A DAY, BUT ITS NOT MESSY AND CLUMPY LIKE POLYGRIP. PLUS NOTE, I USE A PRODUCT CALLED PROSOFT IAW WITH THIS SECURE PRODUCT. SINCE THIS COMPANY DOES NTO OFFER IT, YOU SHOULD TRY A SINGLE USE OF PROSOFT AND YOU WILL BE OVERWHELMED, BUT YOU STILL NEED A DAILY ADHESIVE LIKE SECURE. I've used Secure for the last 9 years exclusively. It would hold my Dentures easily 2 to 3 days if I wanted it to but I would take them out at night and clean them. I didn't have to worry about my dentures coming out or slipping It had some amazing adhesive that the other denture adhesives just did not have. The other adhesives would not last the day and I tried them all. I was so satisfied with Secure! it's all I used. It was a real game changer for me. No longer was I nervous going out to dinner with friends and having my dentures slip or even pop out. I would usually make an excuse that I had a late lunch at work and I'll get a doggy bag and bring it home. It really started to affect my social life. I didn't want to go out and especially not for dinner. Some close friends were worried why I didn't want to go out to dinner an the clubs I finally told my friend what was going on and he just laugh and said don't worry we are your friends! Anyways I had tried maybe 5 or 6 of the most popular adhesives. They were all the same usually I had to clean and reapply the Adhesive 2 times a day. It really sucked big time. Then I found Secure on amazon and placed an order. I've never seen Secure in the stores. No biggie. The day I got it and gave it a try it lasted 2 days. It really worked great holding my dentures in place. for 2 -3 days. I can eat most anything with Secure. It was a real game changer. It Amazing. It's all I've used these last 9 years. It's been working for the first 7 years. But these last 2 year I have been very disappointed and truly dissatisfied. Something was changed in the Adhesive formulation. It's terrible I have to carry some with me and now between 2-3 times a day I have to clean and reapply Secure. It's no longer a game changer that it was. its no different then any other denture adhesives in my view. I don't know what they have done to Secure but now I fix my dentures sometimes 2-3 times a day. What Happened to Secure!!! A year and a half ago I wrote a letter to Secure Company to find out what had changed in my Secure Adhesive. I never heard back from them with a answer! It's just Shameful that a company can treat a customer of 9 years like this. SHAME ON YOU SECURE. I WANT THE ORIGINAL FORMULA BACK THAT CHANGED MY LIFE NOT THE CURRENT SECURE FORMULA THAT NEEDS TO BE REAPPLIED 2-3 TIMES PER DAY. I hope this can help the others with the same experience with the current Secure. I love the old Secure please can you bring it back??

Does feel good on the gums, no taste, however when I eat it comes off (melts) just as quick as the others I have tried and sooner than some. The color is fine very easy to use good value, not too thick a little messy when you try to get it on with the qtip as recommended. Not going to say not to try because everyone is different but for me it just didn’t do like I was hoping.

This product is a life saver! Ty for all who wrote a review and shared their thoughts as it was the reason I ordered this! New to dentures I struggled for too long trying to embrace them and was near to the point of simply not wearing them, until I read all the reviews and took a chance. The paste is very effective! I use a small amount with a qtip all over the appliance. My gums had shrunk so much my dentures were clacking and actually falling out when I ate, I was unable to chew properly and they rocked back and forth, I was told it's " normal" as the process continues but I was so discouraged! The typical pastes were hard to use , uneven and so strong it was impossible to get them out and burned my gums. THIS paste is SUPER! It has a slight burning sensation but it's recommended to wait after applying to insert, but it holds awesome! I wait the recommended 15 min after before eating or drinking. A small amount goes a long way and I spread thinly with a qtip. I ate popcorn! The hold is incredible! And removing is not as difficult either. Sometimes I can taste the aloe in my gums but not unpleasant and there is at times some residue but it easily comes out softly firm not like the other OTC brands. I have no pain, sensitivity, rubbing or hot spots. I never thought I would ever be able to wear them , or be able to eat a meal. It's been a life changer for me! I'm enjoying eating again and the fear of removing them is gone. I hope this helps someone as I will eternally be thankful for all those who took a few moments to share their thoughts too. You all gave me more to smile about!

I rarely give 5 stars as everything has room for improvement. I only use adhesive on my lower denture so finding a good adhesive is tough. I also don't use very much. I started with a small dot near the back of each side and a dot in the center. My dentures fit well but bottoms, if you know the struggle... I also tried spreading it out thin to see if one way works better. I found both ways comparable. I have allergies to zinc and the red dye found in many adhesives so I tried this one and went for sensitive just in case. I don't have the tingling that many get. I do apply adhesive to clean and dry denture and let it sit for a minute, usually while cleaning my top denture. I apply denture to dry gum and bite down for 20 or so seconds. It says to wait 15 minutes but I usually wait 30 mins before eating or drinking. You can actually feel your denture locking tight on your gums. It lasts me over 12 hours. I know some people add fixodent powder on top of the adhesive and found that helpful, I have not found a need to and I have a zinc allergy. I believe that what you eat may be part of the problem for some people as tougher foods might make any denture pop. Body chemistry matters as some work better with different formulas. I also think it matters if you are new to dentures or how well they fit. The tube is smaller so it does cost a bit more than some but I also found I need quite a bit less than those others and once a day is all I need. The aloe and myrrh also add soothing and anti bacterial components that are helpful. When removing my denture I find very little adhesive on my gums and removing from dentures is easy with a paper towel. I use Dawn to get the rest. Using a dry micro fiber cloth works great on gums. I also use very little adhesive to begin with so that may be why. If you are frustrated, this is worth a shot. If it doesn't seem the right fit, keep the tube as it may work better once you get used to new dentures or if the fit of your denture changes.

Game changer. Two years and believe me I've tried everything else. Had top denture relined twice which doesn't help much. Tried every adhesive including gunky pink stuff of every description, best hold, ultra, professional... Within an hour I'm reapplying. Tried sealant pads and strips, they just slide out after an hour or so, the one you cut to size nearly chokes me and I have to replace every couple of hours. The strips dissolve, don't know where they go. This however, I wish I had found two years ago. It stays hours. After a 12 hr shift some has gone but the teeth are still in place. Thank you. Yes you have to get the residue off with a soaking tablet and a denture brush but who cares, my denture stays in place. After two years of struggle, thank God I found this. I didn't like the taste too much so am ordering the plain next but if I had to put up with this flavour I would if it means my teeth stay in and my gums aren't getting chafed when I eat.
